Arcelormittal Tailored Blanks Americas Reviews (3)

I took my vehicle here because of the great reviews but my experience is they take advantage of customer's lack of mechanical knowledgeI brought my car in to check my brakesThe quote I received included $2,in additional work including $of labor for replacing a cabin air filter (a min job on my vehicle)Other fluff was fluid flushes and spark plugsFor icing on the cake, there was no sign on my ignition coils that they removed any of my plugs to check their conditionThey are nice but under the veil of kindness they oversell and overcharge their customersFYI, I was charged $for diagnosis only when I decided I wanted my car backMy former shop was happy to do a diagnosis for no chargeIt is clear to me the Tilton's family is more interested in buying themselves a larger boat than doing what's best for their customersIf you work hard for your money, don't donate it to Tiltons!

I took my vintage Pontiac LeMans to Tilton's on August 18, to have the air conditioning repaired, the transmission leak and kick-down repaired and the speedometer fixedI paid for the services upfront to try and save some money for a total of $1,and that check was cashed by Tilton's on August 23, I picked the car up on September 5, as I was told all was done and the car was ready for pick upUpon driving the car home it was very apparent the speedometer was not fixed as it was reading about half the MPH I was actually going (for example: driving and speedometer reads 30)I called Tilton's immediately and they apologized and wanted the car back so they could fix it correctlyThe car was returned to them the following dayI had called the shop numerous times to get an update and was always promised a date it should be ready and that date would come and go with no calls from Tilton'sI called on October 23, and was told by Andy Tilton (the owner)

Recently took my vehicle to Tilton's due to maintenance warning lights and catalytic converter issues..After they ran their diagnostics and research, turns-out there had been a manufacturers alert issued about the converter for my particular vehicle Model and Year, and special instructions to fix it !!Had I gone to the parts store and tried to replace it myself, or by others who were less knowledgeable, it would have created newer issues..Been going to Tilton's for years..Are there others who charge $ less?? Maybe..Do they know what they are doing? Always questionable!!
