I have had nothing but problems trying to rectify my account for almost a year! The representatives are polite, however no one can seem to clear this issue up and I talk to different reps each time I call and they issue me a new reference number. Unacceptable.!

Review: I received a bill for an office visit one year ago. I should receive an explanation of benefits from my insurance company first and I have not received this. Maybe there is a problem with the billing department at Arch Health Partners or the doctors. I will never return to Arch Health Partners either the doctors are incompetent or the billing department is incompetent. This is the second time I have billing problems within one year.

I am looking forward to Obamacare to stop the overcharging of doctors and hospitals. I can not go back to a client one year later and say you owe me money now, I made a mistake when I billed you over a year ago. Your organization is really incompetent and needs to be held accountable for unethical business practices.Desired Settlement: Reverse the charges.

received services from Arch Health Partners on 9/17/2012. [redacted] processed these charges and

applied them to your deductible. The Explanation of Benefits is issued from [redacted] and if you

didn't receive this, you must follow up with your insurance company.

We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your business.

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

I believe Arch Health Partners lost the paperwork for the appointment and found it one year later. In my line of work if I forget to bill my client and go to them one year later and say you still owe m because I lost your paperwork.

Review: I first brought my daughter in to the clinic on Jan 25, 2013. The Doctor requested us to return for two nurses visits and explicitly said that we would not be charged for those visits. However, I was billed for three visits. I called 4 times to dispute the second and third charges and paid for the first one over the phone. They have not removed those charges and instead said that it has gone to collection.Desired Settlement: I would like them to remove those fraudulent charges of $51.10 and $72.88 and inform the credit agencies.

RE:#[redacted]

Dear Ms [redacted],

I am writing in response to the billing concerns expressed by one of our patients.

After review of the patient's records and discussion with our staff there seems to have been

miscommunication on our part.

The visit charges have been removed from her account. She has been contacted by our Accounting

Department for verification of a zero balance, with our apologies.

Thank you for bringing this opportunity to improve our customer service to my attention.

Sincerely,

Regards,

Review: This doctors office has place a negative report on my credit report for a bill that does not belong to me. They hired a collection agency to harass me for a bill that is not mine. I'm just getting the run around when I call the fix the issue. Doctors office says to call the collection agency. The collection agency tells me to call the credit bureau and the doctors office. I'm in the process of buying a home, and this is the only thing holding up the process.Desired Settlement: I want a letter or email explaining this is not my bill. Arch Partners has already told me via phone by two different employees that this is not my bill. I want it removed from my credit report since it is not my bill.

Regards,

Review: In late August I saw a doctor, who is a member of this group against which I am filing the complaint, for a preventative pap smear that is covered 100% by my insurance company. During the visit, the pap specimen was knocked off the table and a second specimen was taken.

Approximately 2 weeks later in September, I was contacted by the doctor's office and asked to come back in to have my pap performed again because of an insufficient specimen quantity previously collected.

The following month (October) I moved from CA to FL and soon thereafter I received a statement showing a $140 office visit charge for the September visit; my insurance paid $40.24, they adjusted $59.76 and I was billed for the remaining $40.

I called my doctor's office, but the policy dictates I must resolve it with "Billing". I spoke to "Billing" for Arch Health Partners once in October explaining that I should not be charged for the 2nd visit as it was a return visit due to the doctor's mistake, and again in November when I received a second statement. My request, per their policy and procedures, was reviewed by a "Physician's Review Board" (that did not include my doctor) and "declined."

This is the most unethical billing and collection practice I have ever experienced personally and it is this type of practice that contributes directly to the out-of-control insurance rates and medical costs in the U.S today. Neither my insurance company nor I should have been charged for insufficient specimen collection requiring a return visit (that took all of 10 minutes). This should have been provided at no charge. BUT MOST IMPORTANT, the review and discussion of this issue should have been between me and my physician as it is IMPOSSIBLE for 3rd and 4th parties to make an informed, competent decision about a matter in which they were not involved. I have also been billed for labs that were improperly coded, which I am dealing with separately from this issue and continue to work with appropriate parties to resolve these issues.

This Physician's Group Practice (Arch Health Partners) needs to implement serious review and revision to their unethical billing as well as inefficient dispute resolution policies and procedures.Desired Settlement: I would like this complaint to be made known to the business and to the public to hopefully prevent this excessive and unethical billing as well as inefficient and consumer-unfriendly dispute resolution practice from occurring to someone else.
