To Whom It May Concern:We entered into contract with a house addition project with a projected time to completion of daysEarly on, there were a number of corrections made on our behalf to work that passed inspection but was not aesthetically pleasing to thecustomerSuch remedies negatively affected the timelineLikewise, a number of the finish selections (kitchen cabinetry, master vanity, etc.) where special order with subsequent elongated lead times which further impacted the already taxedtimelineWhen we expressed our concern with how the selections coupled with items unaccounted for in the initial scope and budget were affecting the timeline, we were assured that selections took precedence over the predeterminedtimeline thereby nullifying the claim that we are not performing that portion of the contract.To our knowledge the only warranty issues in existence are an issue with the garbage disposal and upstairs vanity plumbingOnce brought to our attention we immediately notified the plumber that was subcontracted to perform the work to remedythe situation.Production on this project is on hold due to insufficient fundsTo date Archetype Restoration, ltdis out of pocket $33,for the projectLikewise, the running total for items not accounted for in the original budget amount to $30,752.34.Additionally, of the original budgeted unit cost (before mark-up), we are at $120,from the original $82,Throughout the project the bank has sent appraisers to appraise the value of completed work and certify the release offundsFollowing the last appraisal (12/8/16) the bank approved the release of $6,to which the customer did not feel comfortable releasing to us until we provided a complete breakdown of all monies spent to date and projected costs foroutstanding itemsOnce provided with break-down it was stated that they will not accept responsibility for the $30,in items not accounted for in the original budget and mentioned an assumption that Archetype Restoration should have$20,in additional working capital to dedicate to the completion of their job before they will authorize the release of any additional fundsAt which point we felt it in our best interest to resume construction once a remedy for the release ofadditional funds / working capital could be obtained
