The architect Mark Lyon is billing without authorization. He told me to check with the Engineer first before he could proceed which I did. The Engineer suggested that I should not do the project so I called the architect, Mark Lyon and told him not to do any work.
He sent me a bill while the Engineer was working on the plan which I paid with a future retainer. When I told the architect that I was advised not to proceed, I then asked for a refund of my retainer. The architect then made up a phony bill so as not to refund my
retainer.
I want my retainer money back and for the architect to cancel his new invoice and to stop making any more invoices.
I have been a member of the Revdex.com myself for many years.
It is important to put this claim on public record and to warn future clients about this dishonest billing.

Review: I signed a contract to possibly do a remodel on my wife's and my house. The architect did somepreliminary drawings to submit to the Engineer for him to design. The architect, Mark Lyon said that he can not progress until he gets detailed plans from the Engineer and knows what work has to be done. I met with the Engineer and he said to me that it is not practical to do this work because the cost and amount of work that would have to be done is much to costly and should not be done. We paid the architect $3,990 to submit a drawing for the Engineer which also included a $1,000 retainer for future work. After the Engineer told us not to do the work, I called Mark Lyon, Architect and asked for a refund of my $1,000. Instead of refunding my retainer, he makes up a bill for $1,253.75 saying that it was for additional work after the Engineer told us not todo the work. My wife and I never authorized nor wanted any more work, especially when the Engineer told us not to do the work. I want my refund of my $1,000 retainer.Desired Settlement: Refund of my $1,000 retainer and to stop making false bills.
