Clayton and Down Under Renovations made our very extensive, complex renovation of a 1930s house with a 1970s addition a truly smooth and happy experienceClayton was always attentive to detail, and was able in this very custom context to help us make design decisions that could never have been accomplished off siteHe has a wonderful aesthetic sense, a fantastic work ethic, and is dedicated to his customers and his product in a way that left us more than eager to recommend him to any friend or acquaintance in need of a builderIn the year and a half since our project was finished (a project which involved a new kitchen three new bathrooms, a basement entirely gutted and refinished, new carpet throughout, new hardwood floors along with custom cabinetry and shelving throughout the main floor, a new stucco exterior along with complete interior and exterior painting, a refurbished heating and cooling system, new decking and some reinforced roofing on the second level, and 70% new windows), the only thing that went slightly sideways was a couple of sagging kitchen drawers, after they'd been loaded down for a year with very heavy contentsClayton came to inspect the problem on the same day of my call to him, and in short order had replaced the factory slides with new ones and triple reinforced them to withstand my extreme use (drawers filled with cast iron and settings of Denby stoneware)He is utterly honest, more careful with the budget than we were, and to top it all off, is a wonderful guy to be aroundOur Scarboro, Calgary home is beautiful, and we have him to thank for a very happy road to that wonderful result
