I purchased a chipper/shredder about a year ago and had a couple of problems with it. They have by far the BEST customer service group I have ever dealt with. Both times I called them, they quickly acted to fix the problems. The chipper/shredder also is one of the better ones I have used, very powerful. I would definitely recommend doing business with this company.

We just offered the customer a refund as he requested in this complaintWe said:

From our understanding of this situation, the customer's complaint is that the blades on the auger dulled after drilling numerous holes.  The blades are a wear point on any model or brand of earth auger...

and without seeing the soil conditions and whether there are excessive roots, rocks or sand, it is difficult to assess the validity of the customer's complaint.  That said, the company is willing to provide new replacement blades at no charge to the customer.

Attached is the invoice from [redacted] for the Ion auger and accessories order.

This matter has been resolved with the customer.

Review: I purchased a Ion 8" Ice Auger with the accessory 10" blade. The unit will not perform with the 10"blade which is why I purchased it. I have a previous Complaint thru Revdex.com #11187601, which states that the issue is closed. The issue is not closed. I have been trying Ardisam's suggestions, but they have not remedied the issue and are now refusing to honor their product.

Below is a continuation of the contact E-mails between Ardisam and myself. In latest to oldest order:

This is unacceptable.

You know that [redacted] only had a 30 day return as my email stated and I did not have a chance to use it until well after the 30 days. My first try with this Ion auger was February 5th at which time it would not perform its advertised task. I immediately contacted Ardisam via the online contact form.

This unit has never been able to get thru 20” of ice without running out of power. I have tried your suggestions since you stated that you knew there was a problem and were trying to come up with a fix. The temporary fix trial blades made no difference. This unit still will not perform as advertised.

I believe a company should stand behind its advertising and products.

As far as the receipt, you already have a copy of it.

I would like a refund on this Ion Auger.

Regards

Warren,

I’m very sorry to hear this. I do have you on the list to get a new auger bit next season. I have personally used this new bit and it works wonderfully! If for some reason this auger does not cut we will refund your money for the auger bit but I would need a receipt. If this is not satisfactory to you please let me know. If you want to be reimbursed on the whole unit, powerhead and all you will have to go through the store you purchased it at.

Best Regards,

I received the modified set of blades today.

I tried them out and was not able to get beyond 20” of ice without the Ion auger running out of power. I tried them with both batteries and the batteries were topped off in the charger, today, before we went and tried the new blades. I never was able to punch thru to water.

I had my wife video this, but it is 413MB.

This Ion auger just is not able to productively utilize a 10” bit.

Please advise

I meant it should cut 30% more holes then the 10-12 with that amount of ice you have with the new blades that I have coming out to you.

Thanks for the email.

Hopefully your 30% is incorrect as I cannot complete 1 hole thru 20” of ice currently. That would lead to 1-1/3rd holes.

Anyways, I will stay optimistic that these new blades may work. I will try and video the results and let you know as soon as possible.

Thank you for addressing this issue

Warren,

We are sending you a set of blades for your 10” ION auger bit. These blades have been tested before shipping out. I talked to the product line manager and he said with 26” of Ice you should get about 10-12 holes with these blades. I put you on a list and next year when the new auger bits come out we are sending you a new auger bit. With this new auger bit you should be able to get about 30 % more holes then the auger bit you have now. Please call or email me once you get the new blades and have tried them. I would like to know how well they work for you. We are very sorry for the inconvenience this has caused you. Please keep the battery and battery bag we sent you and let me know if there is anything else we can do for you.

Best Regards,

Review: I purchased a Ion 8" auger along with the Ion 10" accessory bit. The Ion battery drive is unable to drill 1 hole thru 20" of ice utilizing their 10" bit without stalling out (running out of power). Ion's claim is 1000" of ice using the 8" bit and they advertise and market the 10" bit as an accessory for this unit. We have spoken to the customer and agreed to send him a set of replacement blades now, and another in the fall. He seemed satisfied by this response.

This company produces a rear tine roto tiller that is sold at Menards across the country. I purchased their Earthquake roto tiller a few years ago and have approx 5 hrs run time since new. The last 2 seasons, I have noticed an oil leak on the rear of the engine. I traced the leak down to a stress crack on the rear engine plate. This is a removable part off the engine - not the block. I contacted [redacted] at Ardisam customer service and asked for part number and availability of this part. She notified me that this engine was used up until last years production model - but engine parts have no replacement parts stocked or available. Her solution was that the entire engine had to be replaced. On our next conversation, she said I should look at epoxy solutions to prevent oil from leaking out of this stress crack on the housing.
Shouldn't a manufacture have parts available if he used this part in production as current as last years production model ??
Menards is selling a lot of these units and the manufacture is not standing behind their product. Buyer be aware

Review: I purchased a treestand at Gander Mountain that was manufactured by Rivers Edge Treestands. The treestand I purchased was eligible for a $30 rebate. The rebate would be mailed out in 4-6 weeks. The issue I have is this purchase was made in September of 2013. I have called numerous times and keep getting the run around. Every time I call they tell me it will be 4-6 weeks. I feel they are not living up to the advertised agreement which was "if you purchase the treestand, mail in the appropriate receipts RiversEdge will give you a $30 rebate in 4-6 weeks". This is very poor service and a very poor way to run a business.Desired Settlement: I would like my rebate in two weeks.

Response:

Pursuant to our records, Mr. Bartels was sent a rebate check at the end of March. Our company tried contacting Mr. [redacted] to confirm his receipt of the check but has been unsuccessful in reaching him.

Review: I recently had to purchased a part for a earthquake log splitter. Luckily it turned out that I was mistaken and did not need the part that I paid over $200 for. I called the company and let them know that I needed to return the part. They issued me an RMA, #38686 and told me they would refund my money, but they would not refund the shipping I told them that was OK with that. I spoke to someone named [redacted] who seemed to be nice at the time and she told me that it would be 7 - 10 days before my money was refunded to me. I waited 2 weeks then called them again because I had not received my refund. Upon calling 10/30, they told me that it would be 30 days or more before my refund was processed. So, in other words they lied. They are deliberately withholding my refund now because I have called and complained.

Now I call, 11/11 and ask to speak with a manager, someone in charge and [redacted] tells me that we don't have one. I was transferred to voicemail, I had to call back and let them know I wanted to speak to someone after being placed on hold for almost 10 minutes I finally spoke to a [redacted] I again had to explain the issue. When I again said that I was originally told it would take 7 - 10 days I was told no that is not correct, we do everything like credit card companies and only give refunds on a 30 day wait. Since, I was angry, he told me "take a break", then when I asked what did you say to me he would not repeat it. They took the money out of my account immediately since it was a credit card purchase and now they don't want to do the right thing and refund my money in a timely manner.

This company is not to be trusted, and the people that work there have no integrityDesired Settlement: refund the entire amount of my purchase, $204.67

Review: I purchased a Eskimo auger, there is a malfunction in the gas tank, reading numerous reports on faulty leaking gas tank. I have been trying to reach customer service from 12/20/2013 thru today 12/23/2013. Calling the customer service phone number I get numerous advertising promotions at which point I then hear I am the 3 rd caller and my wait time. I then get to the point wait time of over 20 minutes and I am asked to leave a voice message with still no response. I can not get a human person to speak with to resolve this issueDesired Settlement: I would like a replacement gas tank that does not leak gas out of the unit.
