On February 17th, 2015 Bethanne [redacted] of Hannum Insurance Agency wrote a DP1 Dwelling Protector on a vacant home located at [redacted], IN...
for [redacted]. There was a previous dwelling protector on this property that had been non-renewed due to the home being vacant. We were notified in September, 2014 that the home was vacant and they were trying to sell. The previous company agreed to stay on until renewal of February 17th and then non-renew. [redacted] processed the new policy on February 17th and mailed directly to insured. The Agency received our copy on February 23'd.
On March 2", Tom Farley called our office and notified Bethanne [redacted] of water damage that was discovered on February 28th, 2015. Bethanne advised she would report to the company for their consideration. He asked about policy effective dates and stated he had policy information but had not had time to look at it. She acknowledged the policy went into effect February 171°, 2015.
[redacted] called in and spoke to Judy Hannum later on March 2nd after they had been notified by [redacted] that there was no coverage an water damage. Judy explained to [redacted] that due to the home being vacant a DP1 policy was all that was available and coverage for water damage wasn't available. They were sold the only type of policy available for a vacant home.
Bethanne [redacted] never stated that she was "Sorry for selling them the policy".
We have been in business since 1982 and have had no complaints to the Revdex.com which In itself shows we run a good business and do a good Job for all of our clients.
