In regards to the complaint filed by [redacted]:
I wish to clarify the facts in regard to Mrs. [redacted] allegations.
1. Furnace install through Allegheny County crisis program on January 8,2013 at no cost to Mrs. [redacted].
2. Prior to Arendosh receiving final payment the furnace must be...

inspected by the county inspector.
3. I presume Mrs. [redacted] had performed maintenance on her new furnace using it over 21 months so
the existing filter is most likely not the installed filter.
4. All paperwork is left on the ductwork for future service many home owners file or loose the
paperwork so it is easier for a tech to find it when left at the furnace. Since she was not paying for the
furnace the invoice for the furnace replacement was sent as required to Action Housing.
5. I called Mrs. [redacted] back and left a message on her answering machine that we would be glad to
service her but there would be a charge. If she wants to resign up for the program and when we get
notified by Action Housing we would be glad to come out and take care of her problem.
6. Her furnace was registered with Lennox when it was installed as required, she has a parts only
warranty for ten years. We perform this service for the home owners which we are not required to do.
Many of our customers would forget or have no access to the internet and this would alleviate future
problems.
7. Shortly after Mrs. [redacted] reregistered for the new 2014 program we received a proceed order and
repaired her furnace through the program at no cost to her. It was also inspected again by an Action
Housing inspector.
Arendosh Heating strives to offer excellent service. We did provide that service to Mrs. [redacted]
unfortunately we cannot operate a business by providing free service. Mrs [redacted] should withdraw her
complaint as it is unfounded.

Review: I called Arendosh Heating and Cooling looking for a board for my furnace. I spoke to a women name Bobbi who was very nasty just the way she came off was rude and unprofessional, I gave her the model number and she put me on hold came back to the line

And stated she had the board I asked her if it was the exact same board she said yes I told her I would be in to pick it I up she stated she only had one to come fast I told he I would be there first thing in the morning. I went and got the board and paid $160.00 for it she told me over the phone it was $130.00 but I payed for it anyway that night I have a HVAC guy come to install the board he stated the board is a universal board for it to fit I have to buy other parts and that there are suppose to be other parts with the board! Only the board in the box! I called the company back and tried to explain that they didn't give me all parts I couldn't get a word out the two women answering the phones told me to get over it I'm not getting my money back that's what the manufacturing company gave them and to stop calling I requested to speak to the owner who never took the call until about 4:30 pm and had the worst attitude in the world he told me not to contact his business in I'm not getting a refund and hung up the phone on me 3X what kind of business are they running? WowDesired Settlement: Iam requesting a refund in full!! Arendosh Heating and Cooling

In regards to the complaint filed by [redacted] related to her in store purchase on May 2, 2016.I wish to set the matter straight and clarify what actually transpired with her purchasing repair partsover the counter. She had called for a replacement board on Thursday April 28, 2016 for her furnacemodel GMP100-3 serial 9408038387. At that time we called iohnstone supply the distributer ofGoodman Parts and were advised the replacement board was a L45-392 or a B108099135 which was anexact replacement board. We checked our stock and advised [redacted] that we had the replacement boardin stock. We also advised her that if sold over the counter the board was not returnable due to it beingan electrical part.On Monday a gentleman came to pick up the part not [redacted] at that time he also requested we sell him atransformer. I was in my office at that time and I came out of my office and advised him that the boardand transformer were not returnable for any reason. He paid for two parts a universal transformer for$46.20 and a L45-392 board for $134.86 with sale tax $193.73.On Tuesday we received a call first in the morning that we sold her the wrong board. At that time werecalled the supplier and were advised it was the right board. She said there was a problem with thewiring we checked and advised her to come and return the defective wiring and we would replace it. Iwas in a meeting all day but was also in contact with my office. Since she was yelling at my office staff Iadvised my office person to replace the board and wiring harness that also was not acceptable to her.On my return from my meeting I took the call from her and advised her that the replacement board wasat the office. I even stopped on my way in and picked up a original replacement board. Just to clarifyGoodman does not make control boards Texas Instrument and White Rodgers make the control boardsand the replacement is a L45-392. Once again that was not good enough, as she was screaming at me Ihung up the phone.Customers try constantly to fix their furnace’s we cannot sell parts over the counter without having a noreturn policy. They take it home try it and when it does not correct their problem they try to return it.We even offered her a service call at a reduced rate to install the board we sold her.To some up the complaint.1. Board L45-392 see enclosed from [redacted] clarifying the right board was selected.2. A gentleman picked up two parts not [redacted] she was advised on the phone the parts were nonreturnable.3. Apparently the universal transformer she purchased may have been the problem as they didnot want to return it.4. The person picking up the parts was advised of our return policy by me and the office staff.5. Not returnable for any reason he said he understood that.6. We offered her replacement of the board free of charge just to be nice but that was notacceptable as she probably found out it was not the board causing her problem.7. She claimed she had a HVAC service person out that night but she has no urgency to get thereplacement part to fix her furnace that we offered. We are in the service business we install these board’s in Goodman furnace without any problems. It’s when a person that knows very little about the furnace operation tries to make the repair ontheir own. Apparently the board was not the problem and now they try to make it my problem. Asstated before there will be no refund a replacement board is available.

Review: The original install of the central air unit was not installed properly. The tech installed an additional thermostat near the fireplace. The techs did not clean up. Water leaked in my basement when it rained from where the tech drilled a hole. My home did not get cool the day of the install, I had to call the company. Another tech was sent back out to correct the problem.A "new" unit was installed. The same tech came back out to put the original thermostat back in its original location (the dining room. The tech said the thermostat in the living room by the fireplace will be used for central air and the thermostat in the dining room will be used for heat. Okay fine, at this point I am tired of different people coming in and out of my home. The temperature drops and I turn on my heat...Nothing, the furnace will not come on. I call Arendosh and the tech(Anthony) on call was rude, I explained the install was recent and he went on to say how much after hour rates are, & he was not coming out if he wasn't going to be paid. Okay so I am cold over the weekend and I call and leave a message for the office on Monday and no one returned my call. Left a message for Jill, no return call.I can not believe this cost me over $2400. I have taken time off work and was inconvenienced. I just want to inform any consumer who may be looking for a professional company to install a furnace or air conditioner. I hope my situation can help someone else.Desired Settlement: I would like to warn future customers of Arendosh Heating & Cooling. Buyer beware!! A partial refund for the two days off work, the new ceiling tiles I purchased and the inconvenience.I do not appreciate the lax attitude when there is a problem within 45 days of an install. Thanks for the aggravation!!

Response:

In regards to the complaint filed by Ms. [redacted], there were a few minor issues that did occur ? when we installed her AC unit. A hole had to be drilled to run the line set to outside of the house, the mortar was not set completely and it happened to rain that night, which caused water to leak into the basement; we did send a tech out the following day to correct the issue & see about replacing the damaged ceiling tile, she stated she had extra and it wasn't a big deal. Ms. [redacted] did contact our after hour emergency on call service on July 22, 2013, for her furnace not working. The technician did advise, per company policy they are to secure payment of $120 for service; the next business day the situation is reviewed and the payment is returned to customer, if deems fit. In regards to Ms. [redacted]s desired settlement, we did offer to replace or will reimburse her for the ceiling tile. As far as missed days of work, she advised she does have an option to work from home. We have also tried to contact her on the home phone number we have on file for her on 9/16 to resolve the thermostat and any other installation issues Ms. [redacted] has, with no return call from her. We also tried to contact her on 9/18 at [redacted] after receiving this complaint, with no return call. We will be more than willing to take care of her concerns and set up an appropriate time during scheduled working hours. Sincerely, [redacted]

Review: I had a furnace installed by this company. The installers put the old filter in which was to big for the new furnace. They never gave me the paper work for the furnace (warranty & owners manual) they put in on the furnace , in between the duck. So I called them because my furnace is not working. They were rude and accused me of lying, I have no reason to lie, When I called Action Housing ( they hired Them) they asked me to call back and speak with [redacted] the Owner, so I did and they would not put the owner on and implied that I was not the one who paid for the furnace so they did not have to deal with me. I have a new furnace with issues already and it hasn't even been a year. I am forced to deal with a company that is talking down at me instead of helping me resolve the issue at hand. This is and could not be good business. So I am reaching out for help. They did not follow protocol, if they would have we would not have reached this point. Cold and upset!Desired Settlement: I would like them to inspect the work that was done by their employees, like they should have done and the right filter should be installed. If they would have followed up as required by the program this would not have happened.thank you
