Dear Revdex.com, Since receiving the complaint, I have made several calls in an attempt to reach *** ***, speaking with her boyfriend ***, explaining why I was calling and asking him to have her call meI left several messages and called again yesterday November 10th*** answered the phone,
telling me that he had relayed the message to *** and that he now feels that I am harassing them by continuing to callI told him that I will not call again and that I only was trying to make contact to resolve ***’s complaintRegarding the complaint, *** *** completed one application in June with my officeHer application stated that she had lived in the previous rental for one yearThe manager of that property informed me that the home had been left in very poor condition, with damages that were costly for the landlord to repair and that the tenants were frequently late with their rentMy landlord denied her application*** then came into my office some time later and asked if she could submit an application for another rental that I managedI told *** that she is welcome to submit an application and that I would have to inform the landlord of the damage that was inflicted on the other rental she had been in and that her application would have that under consideration for acceptanceShe did not submit an application at that timeShe was upset, asking me how long it takes for a bad record to be erasedAs it had been, I believe, within one year’s time, that the property had received such damage, I said something to the effect that a landlord would probably like to see some time with a clean record to verify that things had changedShe stated that it was her roommate and not her that had caused the damage to the property, a valid point, yet her responsibility was equal, being a tenant, for the care of the propertyI am a strong believer in second chances and will gladly receive an application from *** for review and give it the same consideration that I would for any other applicationAfter all, it has been several years since she and I spoke about any rentalI am dismayed that she has not responded to my calls as I wish to resolve this complaint amicablySincerely, *** *** Barry Ward Realty - Property Mana
I am rejecting this response because: I have nothing to say to [redacted] that will resolve this, especially since you cannot change the past. He is accurate about the rental application in 2010, however, in late 2011, almost 2 years later, I attempted to submit a rental application. Before I had even submitted my application, [redacted] contacted my property manager from the previous application, 2 years prior; of course, she reported the same problems because that is the only time I ever rented from her. [redacted] should not have contacted her this time because if he would have at least accepted and looked at my new application, he would see that I had two, year long tenancies with different landlords and no roommates. I had proof and references proving I did not do the damages to that prior tental property and that rent was always on time. [redacted] did not even look at my 2nd rental application that I tried to submit in 2011; he assumed he knew who to contact for prior landlords, which he assumed wtong and contacted the wrong people. He should have been fair and actually physically looked at the application instead af assuming he knew what was on the application. This did happen 4 years ago, however, my first attempt to file a complaint did not work. Barry ward realty was not listed as a business in the Revdex.com;4 years later they finally are. The only way to resolve this is not to practice unfair business.
