My friend and I stayed at the Econo Lodge on August 9,upon entering the room it smelt instantly of must and moldTurned the AC on to try to get the smell out didn't workMy friend used the bathroom and flushed the commode which the chain was broke on it-sorry didn't get picture of that-was going to take a shower and found hairs in the tub and on notHadn't been cleaned before us arrivingThe musty mold smell continued and I looked and beside the AC unit in the room was black mold
I have severe allergies and severe Asthma but I had no choice to stay because my mother was brought up to *** hospital and needed a place to sleep for the nightCouldn't sleep much due to my eyes burning and couldn't hardly breathI have pictures of the mold and hairs along with cobwebs as soon as you walk in the doorThis was the most disgusting place we have ever stayed at atI want my money refunded back to and this place needs to be shut downThat black mold is a serious health issue fo
My wife and I stayed at this hotel prior to her doctor's appointment at WVU, since the *** *** was full that nightWe checked in around 1:a.mFriday, July 22nd, and checked out by 8:a.mthat morningOur original receipt showed the single charge for a night stay only, but later when we checked our bank account, we saw that they had charged us twiceWe have called them multiple times to try and get our money back, but they have constantly hung up on us and refuse to give us the manager's phone numberWe have to go back to WVU in about weeks for my wife to start her new medication and if this issue is not resolved by then, we will be taking matters into our own handsWe had to call and cancel our debit card so that they cannot take anymore money from us
I booked nights in this hotelAfter arriving, I found out we could not stay the second nightI attempted on multiple occasions to check out on the second day so that I would not be charged and could not get in touch with the manager (I talked to at least hotel staff members and *** *** staff member)When the manager finally responded days later (and after complaints to *** ***), he stated their policy was that I could not cancel a reservation unless it was days prior to arrivalI was not cancelling a reservation and am willing to pay for my first night's stay; however, I have never had an issue if I needed to check out early, which is what I didI turned in my key cards by check out time the next morning and left the hotel; I did not stay the second nightHe stated it was their policyMy reservation confirmation stated that cancellation must be made days prior, but it said nothing about a minimum stay or not being permitted to check out earlyThe two
