The proof of loss and supporting documentation was received in early September. the final claim documents came in September 29, 2014. The check for resolution is being processed today, 9/30/14. All aspects of this claim are now resolved

The business practices of insurance companies that are either authorized or licensed to underwrite insurance coverage in the state of [redacted] (the policyholder's resident state) are regulated by the [redacted] Department of Insurance, who is exclusively responsible for determining whether insurers are in compliance with the applicable [redacted] statutes and
/or regulation. The [redacted] Department of Insurance maintains a website**  [redacted]for the purposes of submitting consumer complaints regarding insurance matters and it is recommended that the complaint that has been submitted to Colony Insurance Company be resubmitted by accessing this website or contacting them at [redacted]
Thank you.

I...

am rejecting this response because:
I filed Claim [redacted] and was told all supporting documentation for the claim was due on April 9, 2014. I went to my local insurance office here in [redacted] and discussed the claim with [redacted] and showed her all my pictures, proof and documentation to support my claim. I asked if there was anything else that was needed because I was going to overnight it to Colony. She took copies and said she would fax everything over and I would not have to overnight the package.
Prior to April 9, 2014 and before I submitted the documentation I received a letter rejecting the claim.  At some point the Loss Run report shows that claim [redacted] was denied and another claim was started. We went round and round with the second claim.
I accept the amount Colony agreed to pay and I have received payment. I need to make sure that this claim is in fact only one claim and I need to get an updated Loss Run proving that I have only ever had two claims and both were paid.
The first one was when a storm came through and knocked out a chimney and the second one is this one. There should not be three or more claims during the history of my being insured with Colony for the Cleveland Events Center complex; only two.
Once they get that straightened out I will accept that this issue is completed and put to rest. I do not want to have additional claims on my history because of the way this claim was handled.
thank you,
[redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:
I do not understand the response. Colony rejected the claim before the due date for receiving the full packet of information.
I don't know why you would have me contact the Dept of Insurance for the state of [redacted].
You gave me a date by which to submit my claim and you rejected it before I turned it in.
Therefore you are showing it as declined and a new one opened.
I'm not sure what that has to do with the [redacted] Dept of Insurance since you made the mistake.
Regards,
[redacted]
