Contractor, Art [redacted] from Argo came to repair our air conditioner Two checks were written, one by me to the company in the amount of $(Home Warranty charge) and the other by mom The check my mom filled out was made directly to Art Gonzalez instead of the company I have only one repair order which documents the amount of my check but not my mom's I am waiting for the second repair order relating to not only the work performed, but documentation on the check my mom wrote Art did contact me stating checks are written to him instead of the company all the time and no one has ever questioned him I did question the $amount charge for a tune of the air conditioner as I have seen it at a much lower price Also I did not have a copy of the work performed for the $charge AnnMarie was another person I spoke with at Argo's When I presented my concern, she could not readily answer the questionShe did say sometimes checks are written to Art Unfortunately, I am not buying their response I feel something is not right in how they are conducting the accounting I provided an analogy to Art letting him know if I worked on his car at my place of business and asked him to pay me and not the business, wouldn't you find that usual? He commented, "no really." He feels both of us have a different interpretation about the situation Bottom line, I do not want people being taken advantage of whether it be about price or how a company is being paid I am satisfied with the work performed, but I want the details of what I paid for which I feel is not a reasonable request
Contractor, Art [redacted] from Argo came to repair our air conditioner. Two checks were written, one by me to the company in the amount of $65 (Home Warranty charge) and the other by mom. The check my mom filled out was made directly to Art Gonzalez instead of the company.
I have only one repair order which documents the amount of my check but not my mom's. I am waiting for the second repair order relating to not only the work performed, but documentation on the check my mom wrote.
Art did contact me stating checks are written to him instead of the company all the time and no one has ever questioned him. I did question the $175 amount charge for a tune of the air conditioner as I have seen it at a much lower price. Also I did not have a copy of the work performed for the $175 charge.
AnnMarie was another person I spoke with at Argo's. When I presented my concern, she could not readily answer the question. She did say sometimes checks are written to Art.
Unfortunately, I am not buying their response. I feel something is not right in how they are conducting the accounting.
