him we can do the oil change at the same time and we emailed him an estimate in march 23/16. After couple of days he email us back and said he received the estimate. After following week without a appointment he walk in to our shop again and said he wanted to get his timing belt completed and can leave the car with us. This customer is a walking customer and we didn't have any vehicle history report in our system. As per the customer request and it's a routine maintenance we completed his timing belt job by April 1/16. The mileage was 271,474km and showed his all parts and showed him vehicle was running good and he was happy and made the payment and picked up the vehicle. While we complete the timing belt we called the customer to mention it's good to replace new power steering belt, Alternator belt and valve cover gasket was seeping also.We also mention that rear sway bar link left one was broken and other one has a play.He only agreed to pay extra for 2 belts and rear links so we completed as he required. Our technician has test driven also before the vehicle is given. He mention that he has to drive about 300km and we asked him to bring it back after the trip. He said he has to leave the same day and he will bring it back. After he went on his trip and came back and mention that he drove the vehicle is fine but it has a vibration. Our technician said let's go for a test drive and see what kind of vibration. He refused to go with our technician and he said I will leave the keys and re-check the problem. He kept on asking "Did we change the balance shaft". Our technician explained that balance shaft is located inside the engine block and we didn't rebuild his engine, so we only completed the timing belt job.We explained it to the customer so many times but he always repeat about a balance shaft. When we complete the vehicle we showed the customer all the parts we have changed timing belt, timing belt tension er,balance shaft belt, balance shaft belt tension er,cam seal, crank seal,p/s belt, alternator belt.
After he refused to go for a test drive he left the car with us for couple of days and we re-check all timing is good and there is no engine light is on or vehicle no losing power in the vehicle. After a test drive and All timing are right so we asked the customer to come back and pick up the vehicle. When he came to pick up the vehicle he asked our technician "what did you break this time". We have been in business so many years and we have told him we have never had a this kind of complain about timing belt jobs. After he pick up the vehicle 2nd time he email us with the same complain with extra details and complain the credit bureau at the same time so he wanted to show the proof that he told us.
After the first time we completed the timing belt job he drove over 300km and back and told us he drove with no problem but the vehicle vibrates. From our experience if something was wrong with the timing belt we completed he wouldn't be able to drive even out of our repair shop. From our experience we have completed our job perfect and we are not responsible for any other damages with his vehicle.
