I am rejecting this response because:There was no confirmation of an order the previous dayIn my mind, the order was never placedPut yourself in my shoesI have a hungry class of kids and no way to verify they will have a mealSo I had to place another order.I did not approach the owner wit a bad attitudeI assumed he was a reasonable businessman with good intentions for customer service and satisfactionAfter he go short with me, yesI got frustrated with himBut I do not swear or call him namesI kept reviewing the fact that I did not owe for this pizzaAs for the driver, I explained in a very polite voice what the situation was and paid the man in full (no tip)If you need a witness that I did not give an obscene message as the owner says I did, our security guard was sitting right there at the windowThis is a public school officeThere is no way anything obscene is being said hereI think the owner is trying to deflect attention from the fact that I never confirmed an order, but was made to pay for itClever tactic.If this had happened at my home and not my place of work, I would have just refused to pay and no answered the door when he driver showed upThe only reason I did pay was I could not have this controversy happening in the front office of my employer.I would like to review that I am not out a penny on this dealThe only people who suffered a financial loss are the kids who work hard to raise funds for their clubI am not asking for anything personallyI think the owner should pay back the money to the student club that he never should have charged in he first placeSo how do I get the money for these kids?

Review: On Monday May 12, I called Kennett Pizza and Pasta and tried to order pizzas for a party at 12:30 the following day (May 13). I don't know who I spoke with. Sorry. But when I told him I wanted to place the order using a credit card, he told me to call back tomorrow at 11:30 am. As you can see in the attached pics of my phone log, I called their number 8 times starting at 9:54 am. My goal was to finalize my order. I also made calls from a land line, but have no proof of that to send. Each time I called, I got that recording "the number you have dialed has been disconnected...." I went on their webpage at http://www.kennettpizza.com/ trying to find another number and there was no alternate number listed and no mention that their phones were down.So I assumed I was not getting pizza from Kennett Pizza and Pasta. I called another pizza place and placed my order with them because I had a room full of kids who skipped their lunch because I promised they would have food at this party. I had to feed them. I had no way to even know that Kennett Pizza and Pasta was open. Maybe they had a problem and had to close. How could I know?Then I got a call from Kennett Pizza and Pasta from a different number than above regarding my order. I describe what had happened, that I could not contact them and had placed the order elsewhere. I said I needed to cancel the order. I then received a phone call from a person who identified himself as the owner telling me I had to pay for the pizza, I could not cancel, and that his man was going to sit in the office of my employer until I paid the bill. Now, I can't have that at work, so I paid the bill and accepted the pizza. It went to waste because I already had enough pizza for the party from another vendor.So I maintain that I never placed the order because they guy stopped me when I tried to pay with a card. I tried calling them and could not get through. I was told their phones were down. That's a shame, but not my fault. No one called me until the pies were cooked.Desired Settlement: As a resolution, I would like a check payable to "[redacted]" in the amount of $74.18 because they are the ones that in effect got double billed for the pizza. I want to be clear that this money is not going to me, but to the student club.I have pics of my phone log from my cell that I can send to prove I tried calling all morning. I also have pics of the 2 receipts to prove that I did place the other order and had to pay for both. Let me know if you want.
