Review: I don't have credit cards. I needed to rent a car. I paid cash & placed a $700.00 cash deposit to rent a vehicle for a month from Ari Rent a Car. I didn't know that the tires were bubbled & that the car needed an alignment. I called Ari Rent a car & communicated that the vehicle was not safe to drive & that it needed an alignment and tires. I was told by the person that worked at Ari Rent a Car that if I paid to align the car & replaced the tires that I would be reimbursed because they didn't want to exchange the vehicle or pay for the repairs outright. So I had to inconvenience myself, use my mileage, pay for the alignment and replace two of the tires. I returned the vehicle at the agreed time. I didn't owe anything extra. I provided receipts & even then he was hesitant to reimburse me & told me that the reimbursement would be applied toward another rental. This made me very uncomfortable & regretful that I had communicated earlier on that I had planned to rent a second vehicle in April. I was stuck, so it was agreed that the reimbursement would be applied toward that second rental. I came back in a couple of weeks & the reimbursement was applied. I then returned the 2nd vehicle & was told that my $700.00 cash deposit would be sent to me in the mail in 10 days. I didn't understand why I would be sent a check when I paid cash and returned the vehicle with no problems. I never received my deposit. 3 months later after countless phone calls that I have made,They will not reimburse me. First, I was told that the person that handled my rental no longer worked there & that they had to look through their files. Then their story changed & I was told that I was undercharged for my second rental and that I owed them. I explained the discount and alignment situation. They said to call back, they would look into it. I called back, then I was told that the employee that handled my account robbed the employer & that I should find that employee that stole the money and call him to get my money back.Desired Settlement: I would just like my deposit back.
