Review: On 05/30 I went to purchase my a bed. I let the sales rep know that my son is a very big 19 yr old. I had just completed the purchase for a mattress and boxspring when the rep asked me to a look at another one, said it would be better on his back. So I purchased it. I picked it up on 05/31, put it I. His room on 06/02 and he sunk to the box spring. I called them and they said no refunds or exchanges. I read my receipt and it says no refunds or exchanges on special orders. Please help me. This isn't right. The lady knew what she was doing.Desired Settlement: To exchange this mattress for the one I originally purchased.

Review: I bought a dining room set about 2 months ago and I was told it has a 1-year warranty. One month after I bought it, the top started cracking and I notified the company of the issue in person, by phone and then went in person again and they told me they couldn't do anything because I didn't notify them right away, which I did. Now it's been about two months and the table top now has even bigger cracks and tiny holes and the company still doesn't want to take it back.Desired Settlement: I want the business to give me a refund or make an exchange.

To whom this may concern,

We have spoken to the customer on numerous occasions. The customer's Marble table was not delivered damaged. The customer signed a document stating the table was in good condition at the time of delivery. The company's Customer Service Rep [redacted] determined that the table was simply stained by improper care. The customer did not purchase a protection plan for accidents and the customer's issue with the table is not a manufacture defect, but something caused, therefore manufacture defect warranty does not apply in this case. thank you.

There is nothing we can do in this situation. This is our final decision.

Respectfully,

Management

Review: This "business" is quite the sham. Upon picking out a mattress from their showroom, it was then delivered to my home, everything unfolding as designated at time of purchase. After the first few nights however, the mattress became indented, causing lower back issues for myself and my boyfriend. I flipped the mattress over giving them the benefit of the doubt, but after the first month, the issue was consistent enough that I decided to call Ariana's Furniture and take them up on the "20 year Warranty" that comes with the mattress. I called the "Customer Affaris" number that was provided, and the person who answered named "[redacted]" gave me another number to call, that was disconnected. I called back, trying to relate that information, and was promptly told to just call that number, about 5 times in a row no matter what my response was. I asked to speak to a manager, and was told to leave a number and someone would call back later. I gave my number, which was said back completely wrong, and hung up on. No one called back, needless to say. I then visited the store in person after the ordeal on the phone, and was told to call a number again. I asked them to do it right then in the store, and was told that the "warranty" was that I had to bring the mattress in on my dime, and it was to get "refurbished" also on my dime. This was not told to me at time of purchase, nor was it outlined on paperwork. I spent $361.00 for a shoddy, uncomfortable mattress that was sold as a new one, only getting fixed by more money on my part. I will be lodging complaints with both their licensing company and also the City. Hopefully, they will be examined and held accountable for such shady business practices. Buyer, most certainly beware.Desired Settlement: I would like to recieve a refund for the amount paid out, so I can get another mattress at a reputable furniture store-one that I will check out on the Revdex.com website beforehand-but that might not be an easy task. They DO NOT GIVE REFUNDS as they have intimated to me. In light of the situation however, it would be the only fair outcome. If not however, I would like them to be investigated and held accountable for the fraudulant practices that lead to my losing the $361.12 paid to them.

To whom this may concern,

We are sorry Mrs. [redacted] is not satisfied with her mattress purchase. As she mentioned, her mattress is still under manufacture defect warranty. We are not able to provide her with the refund she requested per our policy (clearly stated on the invoice signed by the customer), however if she contacts Mrs. [redacted] (Customer Service manager) at [redacted] Mrs. [redacted] will be able to assist her with her Mattress warranty.

Thank you.

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

As the "Warranty" is stated on the reciept, It wasn't mentioned to me at the time of purchase (the person who took the payment said nothing but hello to me the entire transaction), which isn't required, I realize, but is a sure sign of dodgy business in my experience. And also, the copy of paperwork that I have doesn't have my signature by the policy disclaimer. It seems that instead of trying to resolve the odd problem that might arise, the warranty is geared for fraudulant profit, not fareness to the consumer, and the mattresses themselves are faulty when delivered. A bait and switch, which is what got them an F rating with the Revdex.com, I'd wager. Why have a policy like that from the get-go, if you don't already know that you will need it to cover you? The mattress I tried in the showroom is not the mattress that was delivered. IF it had been, coupled with the warranty, I would have passed on the whole ordeal. I feel they know that of the average customer and omit information to doup people into buying their mattresses. The business is making a profit on sub par products, and also on the "refurbishing" of them. That is fraud, isn't it? That is the real heart of the matter, the majority of the reason I contacted the Revdex.com and also the business themselves before that. If the "Customer Service"had professionally and tactfully explained the policy to me-which I already read, and was aware of when the issue arose initially-instead of hanging up on me and giving me the run-around, and provoking suspicions by such actions, things might have been less problematic. Yet another reason I suspect that my situation isn't the first or the last of it's nature. I would like to prevent others with this same frustration, as I would like to stand for people/companies/society to be accountable for their effect on others. I have to stretch a good 10-15 minutes every morning just to not be stiff all day, and I just bought the mattress 3 months ago. That in itself needs to be suitably rectified, either by a refund, a more stern penalty to this company (which I am contacting their licensing agency) or both. I respectfully decline their redundant offer for them to "fix" the mattress on my own dime.

Regards,

Business
