The insured did not cancel the policy until May of 2016.There is no refund of premium payment due, as the insured was covered from the issue date until thecancellation date. Had the insured passed away during this time, American Income Life would have paidthe coverage amounts as specified in the policy agreement.Regarding the client's complaint of being contacted by one of our agents in an effort to "restructure"the policy, this was likely an effort by our policy retention team to attempt to retain them as clients. Review: Upon canceling our Life Insurance Policy from American Income Life through the Arias Agency, the employees at the agency refused to cancel the policy and sent a letter for us to call the owner. Upon calling the owner, he tried to restructure our policy, even after we repeatedly told him to cancel the policy. It has been more than three months with repeated calls and Mr. Simon Arias has refused to refund our funds that were paid into the life insurance policy. Within the last week, a representative called me to discuss how we could restructure our policy and he said it was never cancelled. The representative argued with me about the cancelation and told me he would have to contact his manager.Desired Settlement: We would like our policy cancelled, no more funds taken from our personal bank account and the money we paid into the policy returned (note: we understand fees apply, but the amount paid in does exceed fees).
