Arizona 24 Hour Glass & Door Repair Reviews (2)

After careful review of the customers complaint, a refund of $90 will be sent to the customer for the screen they didn't receive. But we also received a threatening phone call from the customers sister acting as an attorney. When the job was completed the glass was installed, the door was closing...

and locking. We received the call from the "attorney" representing the client saying that the door isn't working and that the glass is going to fall out. The glass will not fall out of the frame as it is secured with new vinyl weatherstripping that the customer was not charged for. The customer was also not charged for us working after our normal business hours to accommodate their work schedules. So the $90 will be sent in the form of a money order to the customer. Comments were made during the install that they couldn't really afford to even have the work done and that they were having money problems. So it sounds to us that the customer is trying to get something for nothing.  Due to the customers nasty behavior toward our company, we will not be returning to the customers home.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

As a response to AZ Tech, please be advised that the work was defective.  I have had another contractor examine the work and come to the conclusion that it was defective and unsafe.  In addition, I have my own observation that the door does not close or lock after AZTech performed its work and that the glass is separating, which is an unsafe condition for me and my children.  Finally, AZTEch's speculation about my motivation or "money problems" is not only untrue and ridiculous, but is also completely irrelevant and unprofessional, which is consistent with their conduct throughout this matter.  Simply put, I am complaining because AZTech performed deficient work and I have to pay another contractor to remedy their deficient work.  I am waiting for a quote for the remediation work and will pass that along as soon as I receive it.  Finally, as to the refund of $90, AZTech should have realized that it needed to refund $90 for a screen that they never installed immediately.  It should not have taken a "careful review of the customers complaint".  It should not have taken numerous phone calls on my part to the company or a complaint to the Revdex.com.  If a company completely fails to deliver or install a screen door that the customer partially paid for, the company does not get to keep the money.  AZTech's failure to grasp this simple concept is indicative of the way they run their business.  My complaint is still not resolved and will not be resolved until I am refunded the remediation amount that I will have to spend on a separate contractor to perform work that I already paid AZTech to perform as well as the $90 for the screen door (which I have not received to date).
