Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
[redacted] made no offer of any sort to resolve the problems.  They simply denied that they caused the damage.  This is what they've done all along.  Their response claims that they were never given an opportunity to inspect my vehicle, or to make an attempt to correct the damage.  This is completely untrue.  As they state in their response, they were contracted to do the headliner repair work on my car by "a local [redacted] body repair shop" (Arizona Collision Center).  As such, all my contact was with Arizona Collision Center rather than with [redacted] directly.  However, [redacted] at Arizona Collision Center contacted [redacted] to inform them of the damage to my car, and asked them to come out and look at the damage.  My car was at Arizona Collision Center three times following the damage caused by [redacted].  Each time [redacted] told me he had notified [redacted] that my car would be there, and that he had asked that someone come and see the car.  No one from [redacted] came to Arizona Collision Center any of those times.  After two months of getting nowhere with regards to [redacted]y repairing the damage they did, I took my car to [redacted] to have the damage repaired.  Arizona Collision Center notified [redacted] that my car was at [redacted] for the repairs.  After two days someone from [redacted] went to [redacted] to view the damage to my car - no repairs had been done by [redacted] during that time.  [redacted] had two months and multiple opportunities in which to inspect and repair the damage to my car.  They never made any attempt to either inspect or repair the damage during that time.  Further, a representative from their company DID inspect the damage when my car was at [redacted].  They again made no attempt or offer to repair the damage at that time.
They state in their response that "the vehicle owner originally believed that the damage to the headliner was from a car accident" and "subsequently blamed the [redacted] body shop for the damage headliner".  Neither statement is true.  I have to question how they can state that I "originally believed the damage was from a car accident", since I've never spoken with anyone at [redacted], and have never believed nor stated that the car accident damaged the headliner.  [redacted] was subcontracted by Arizona Collision Center to repair the damaged headliner, and all my contact has been with Arizona Collision Center.  I did not "blame" Arizona Collision Center for the damaged headliner.  I asked [redacted] why the headliner was suddenly dropping down.  He informed me that they had stretched the headliner when they reinstalled the windows on my car after painting it.  He said the stretching had pulled the fabric off the backing of the headliner, causing the fabric to sag, and that they (Arizona Collision Center) would have the damage repaired.
As for the damaged clutch - When I dropped my car off at Arizona Collision Center to have the headliner repaired, the clutch was working perfectly.  I had never had any problems at all with the clutch.  When my car was returned by [redacted] five days later, the clutch was virtually inoper[redacted].  My car had a very pronounced vibration when the clutch was let out, and was stalling repeatedly when shifting.  [redacted] was the only one driving my car during the time the clutch was damaged.  That being the case, it's hard to comprehend how they believe that it's "completely without basis" that they "somehow contributed to damage to the clutch".
[redacted] was notified of the damage they caused to my car within a few days of my car being returned.  They had ample time and opportunity to inspect and repair the damage. Rather than making any attempt to repair the damage and resolve the problems that resulted in my complaint, they have simply denied that they caused any damage, and have refused to do anything to repair the damage or resolve the problems.

[redacted] has been proudly serving the Greater Phoenix area for over 40...

years. We take pride in our work and our customer service. We have never before had a Revdex.com complaint. We vigorously dispute all of the claims set forth in the above referenced complaint and will generally address them herein.

[redacted] did work repair work to a damaged headliner to [redacted] for our customer who is a local [redacted] body repair shop. The vehicle owner who filed the complaint against our company was never a customer of [redacted]. The vehicle owner originally believed that the damage to the headliner was from a car accident. According to the complaint, the vehicle owner subsequently blamed the [redacted] body shop for the damage headliner. Based on our experience in seeing damaged headliners in [redacted]s, the damage to the headliner was a very common separation that results over time, especially in Arizona due to the exposure to the sun and heat. Regardless of what caused the damage, the [redacted] body shop hired [redacted] to repair the headliner.

[redacted] completed all work as promised to the [redacted] body shop and did so within a reason[redacted] time. [redacted] did not make the claims and representations stated in the complaint.

[redacted] was never given an opportunity to inspect the alleged issues to the interior of the vehicle listed in the complaint. If given an opportunity, [redacted] would have corrected any issues that it deemed were reasonably the result of the work performed by [redacted].

The claim that [redacted] somehow contributed to damage to the clutch of the vehicle is completely without basis. As part of our industry we deal with manual transmission vehicles all the time without any issues. The vehicle was returned to [redacted] body repair shop in the same mechanical condition as it was delivered to us.

We are disappointed that the vehicle owner was dissatisfied; however, [redacted] Upholstery was not given an opportunity to address the alleged issues as described herein. [redacted] Body stands by its work and reputation.
