I ordered a face cord of firewood from Jan to be delivered on 9/12/It arrived with many rotten pieces and signs of termite damage; then I found and killed two termitesWhen I called Jan back to tell him about this, he said that some of the wood was from "down and dead trees" and that "this kind of thing was to be expected"He was aware of the termites and said he was sorry for bringing bugs into my garage, and that I should just store the wood outside and away from the houseI have ordered from him before and not had this problemI was disappointed with his casual attitude and the fact that he knew there were termites in some of the wood and still brought it to my home anywayMy husband came home and found a lot more termites and larvaeI paid cash and feel that I have no recourse as he said he does not know what else to tell me - I should just store the bad wood outside away from the houseI feel that he should not be selling me wood with termites and larvae in it
