I recently went to Arizona Hair Extensions at *** ** *** *** *** ** *** ** to have a consultation about getting a hairpiece to cover a thinning crown I had made an appointment, and when I got there the owner of the business (*** ***), was just beginning to work with another client After waiting a while, we had a short consultation and I purchased a hairpiece that would be ordered The cost was $324; I have the receipt from using my credit card Later that afternoon I received a phone message from the owner, stating, "I just called in your order, however it was considerably more than what I quoted you I'm going to have to charge you more when you pick it upThe cost is $540, but I'll let you have it for $ Let me know if that's ok or if I should cancel that order." I called back and told her to cancel the order and to reverse the credit She wasn't able to cancel the credit card purchase unless I came in and gave her the card So today I drove to her business with the card and she told me that the hairpiece had already come in and she would have to charge me for the shipping, both ways I expressed my feeling that it was not my mistake and I shouldn't have to pay for anything She had underquoted me the cost If I had known it was $more I never would have ordered it She was firm and only returned $of the $I paid, stating that her business was a sole proprietor and she should not be responsible for the shipping costsI don't know how I could possibly be responsible I do not think I should pay anything for her mistake I would never go back and would advise people to use caution when dealing with her
I recently went to Arizona Hair Extensions at [redacted] to have a consultation about getting a hairpiece to cover a thinning crown. I had made an appointment, and when I got there the owner of the business ([redacted]), was just beginning to work with another client. After waiting a while, we had a short consultation and I purchased a hairpiece that would be ordered. The cost was $324; I have the receipt from using my credit card. Later that afternoon I received a phone message from the owner, stating, "I just called in your order, however it was considerably more than what I quoted you. I'm going to have to charge you more when you pick it up. The cost is $540, but I'll let you have it for $400. Let me know if that's ok or if I should cancel that order." I called back and told her to cancel the order and to reverse the credit. She wasn't able to cancel the credit card purchase unless I came in and gave her the card. So today I drove to her business with the card and she told me that the hairpiece had already come in and she would have to charge me for the shipping, both ways. I expressed my feeling that it was not my mistake and I shouldn't have to pay for anything. She had underquoted me the cost. If I had known it was $200 more I never would have ordered it. She was firm and only returned $300 of the $324 I paid, stating that her business was a sole proprietor and she should not be responsible for the shipping costs. I don't know how I could possibly be responsible. I do not think I should pay anything for her mistake. I would never go back and would advise people to use caution when dealing with her.
