-I ( [redacted] ) arrived in [redacted] at Mr [redacted] home on January 14, to create a 2nd (backup) key and an additional (backup) keyfob for his newly purchased [redacted] TL used car he had just recently received Upon arrival I showed Mr [redacted] the key and keyfob that were to be cut (key) and programmed (key and rke fob) He wanted to know whether I required him to pre-pay for the job before work began I told him we do not accept payment until the work is complete and satisfactory He agreed that the key and rke I was providing for him were acceptable as long as they would work e.g.: key starts vehicle; rke fob unlocks vehicle When scheduling the appointment, Mr [redacted] said the current rke fob he had said "driver 2" when he entered the car, having programmed rke fobs for this type of vehicle before, only fob (1x driver and 1x driver 2) fobs are able to be programmed and I suggested that I can order a "driver 1" keyfob The driver designated keyfobs allow for pre-programmed settings to be saved so that mirror position or seat position are retained and recalled The auto-switch feature can be slaved to the rke fobs After creating his 2nd car key and programming the key's transponder to the immobilizer with no issues whatsoever, I began work to program Mr [redacted] new keyfob With my years of experience in recreating keys, programming rke fobs, I have created over [redacted] keys/fobs in which have driver and driver setting modes that are automatically synched to the fob that the car recognizes from its unique transmitting frequency for each When I program keys or fobs, we require ALL keys/fobs to be present in order to ensure all keys/fobs work when complete Upon attempting to erase and re-program the keyfobs (his original and our provided OEM keyfob that had a new case/shell installed to refresh it) the vehicle would not erase the old fobs After spending minutes trying to erase/reprogram the fobs, Mr [redacted] came out to make sure everything wasgoing ok I explained I am attempting to program the fob as Driver #so that when the car is unlocked with our provided "driver 1" fob, it adjusts/recalls seat and mirror settings for driver The car would not allow erasing of the previous driver rke fob and I spent another minutes on the line with various tech support staff, the only conclusion was that the bcm that stores the keyfob values would have to be reset by a dealer tool in order to free up the old/lost "driver 1" rke fob to allow the new one to take its' place I henceforth programmed the new rke keyfob and it defaulted as #since the old keyfob was unable to be reset by our on-board method of programming (the only available way to program this year/make/model available outside of the manufacturer tool) The original keyfob retained its' "driver 2" settings and the new keyfob I provided worked as it should, except in the program feature of it recalling "driver settings" of the seat/mirrors etc I explained to Mr [redacted] that all my attempts to make the fob sync with driver were not programmable by me, however, the rke fob was indeed working like it should otherwise All buttons (lock/unlock/panic/trunk) worked as they should Mr [redacted] tested the key and rke fob I provided as well his other original key and rke fob He was disappointed the new keyfob did not recall the driver settings that I explained earlier that they should be able to be synched He then asked for a professional discount of $for the inconvenience of the rke fob not recalling driver settings I told him if my work was unsatisfactory I could return the rke fob and not charge him, however both he and his wife agreed that having the 2nd rke fob was better than not having one I suggested that he might be able to have the dealer look at resetting the rke fobs to free up the driver settings so that the fob I provided could then be synched to driver as I had intended-and Mr [redacted] wanted after I explained how it could work I explicitly gave no guarantees whatsoever about cost at the dealership, or whether they would even program rke fobs that were not provided by them but suggested that most dealerships charge a "nominal fee" of which I was uncertain of the cost At this time, Mr [redacted] decided that he would keep the fob and try to go to a dealer to get his new fob to sync to "driver 1" I ended up selling the rke fob to him at a $loss and did not charge for the extra hour of labor ($100) attempting to program the new rke fob to sync to "driver 1" as a curtesy since he asked for a $professional discount and the work did not meet my standard of excellence On Fri 01/30/1:PM (days after the date of service) Mr [redacted] called to tell me that the dealership was wanting $for a keyfob they provide and $to program it He asked if I would provide the dealer keyfob and come back out to [redacted] to program it I told him I'd look into what I could do for him This was the first indication he was "dissatisfied" with my serviceAt this time, I called the ***/ [redacted] dealer I trust to see what the approximate costs were to buy a brand new rke fob and have it programmed at the dealership They told me a brand new rke fob for that vehicle was $wholesale and $retail and that the programming was $(his prices didn’t seem quite right since nearly all ***/ [redacted] dealerships I know of charge nearly the same price set forth by the manufacturer) I attempted calling Mr [redacted] back on 02/02/2015, and 02/03/and could not reach him At the time, I thought he had resolved the issue from the previous Friday On Wed 02/04/11:AM (days after the date of service) he called me and demanded that I pay him the total of $and I explained to him that I'd be happy to refund him the $for the keyfob I provided if he sent it back to me He was very agitated and un-agreeable and was starting to become nasty I attempted to deescalate the situation but he was not listening to what I had to say nor was calm I made absolutely no promises and after being threatened by Mr [redacted] to pay him $or else I decided to let him go since he would not agree with anything I had to say as I was trying to explain that I would be unable to program a dealer-new keyfob to sync to driver #settings as well I felt that he was attempting to take advantage and was absolutely out of line demanding me to pay to buy a brand new dealer rke fob and pay for their programming when I did not make any verbal or written promises and was paid for the services and products I provided It seems to me that if he truly wanted a resolution he would have contacted us sooner and would have not waited days after the date of service to file a complaint Regardless of this, I will still allow Mr [redacted] to return the rke fob for his [redacted] TL for a $refund as long as it is in good condition and arrives

If you need a duplicate car key, then go see [redacted]. I did it twice. Once for a Honda Odyssey key and then a month later for a Jeep Liberty key. At least, call him and inquire about the price, it may be worth a drive to his store. My experience was a honest price(both keys differed in price, because they use different technology and chips),on-time service and someone I feel you can trust.

Review: On January 14, 2015 an employee of Arizona Access and Security came to my home as I requested to make a key and program a key fob for my car. In my initial conversation with this employee I asked for a professional discount for this service. He said that professional discounts are given after the work is completed. The employee made the key, however he was not able to program the key fob completely. He instructed me to bring my car to the [redacted] Dealership to have them complete the programming. I wrote a check to Arizona Access and Security in the amount of $250.00. I brought the car to the [redacted] dealership and I was told that the chip that was inserted by the employee of Arizona Access and Security was not the correct chip. I then contacted [redacted], owner of Arizona Access and Security, and he requested the VIN number from the car which I gave him. He contacted me a few days later and told me that he could get the correct chip, however in doing so it would result in a financial loss for his company and then the call was disconnected on his end. I called him back several times and was unable to leave a message because the voice messages were full. The cost of programming the new chip at the [redacted] dealership was $130.00 and $80.00 for the key fob. I asked [redacted] to get the correct key fob and I would take it to the [redacted] dealership to have it programmed so that we could resolve the issue, but [redacted] apparently does not want to make good on the service that I paid for, which is poor business practice.Desired Settlement: To obtain a refund in order to have the service completed.

Locked outside during a dust storm. Came over immediately and fixed the problem very fast. Reasonable pricing and great service!

[redacted] was (is) the best! I called to have a client's home rekeyd before listing it and he came out same day, charged great rates and he even went with me to Home Depot to help find the best type of door lock assembly for my client's! I've found my new locksmith in the east valley! Highly recommend [redacted] at Arizona Key Guys. Very professional and head and shoulders above any other locksmith I've used. [redacted], Realtor
