Consumers, please be aware of doing business with Arizona LLC. In May of 2012 I signed a lease with this corporation, and move into the apartment at [redacted]. About a month after moving in the property manager (David) came to the apartment with a second lease asking for me to sign. After questioning the first lease I signed, he stated the lease was misplaced. I asked him on several occasions to leave me the lease to look over prior to signing it, to which he stated its the same lease as the first lease you signed. I was in the midst of making dinner the evening, and wasn't able to review the lease. I took his words that it was the same lease I signed with Danny (the realtor I rented through), but later found out it wasn't the same lease. After two and a half years living in the apart I came home from work in August of 2014 to find the electricity disconnected. I contacted Joseph the building owners' son, who told me he would contact David and get back to me. After about five minutes Joseph called back and told me to contact [redacted]. When I called [redacted] and gave them my address, and time living there, the rep told me they did not have that address on file. She went on to tell me they have not received any payment from this location within the time period I lived there. Now please keep in mind, the lease I signed with Danny stated my utilities were included in my rent. [redacted] Rep told me a meter was installed after I moved in, but because they do not have access to the meters they were unable to get reading for each. She ask that I contacted the Landlord to get my meter number and call back. So I did as she asked. When I called back with the meter number, she told me the meter is register to an address on [redacted] and went on to tell me the amount of the bill since I lived there. Also keep in mind the address she told me the meter is register to is the Barbershop I lived above. After receiving a bill from [redacted], David stopped by due to me holding the rent for repairs to a broken water from the weekend of May [redacted] 2014. I presented the bill to David and asked about my utilities being covered in my rent. At this point he stated that wasn't so, so I asked for a copy of the lease, after which he sent me the second lease I signed and not the first. I repeatedly asked both David and the owner of the building (Monsieur) for the first lease, for which I'm still waiting. They took me to court where I learned they are affiliated with the presiding Judge, who also ruled in their favor. When the case was call and I tried presented the fact that the second lease was presented under false pretense, she the Judge wasn't trying to hear it, and ordered I pay them or leave the apartment. I decided to leave the apartment with my furniture's there, due to nowhere to go. While awaiting to get the bill resolved with [redacted], Arizona LLC put a lien on my Bank Account and took steps to garnish my paycheck.

Prior to all this happening I told David to produce the first lease I signed, and if it states I'm responsible for my utilities I would take steps to get the bill resolved with [redacted], but still haven't seen a copy of the first lease.

Factors the judicial system seems to not care about:

1) How long have I been renting

2) Is this a pattern with other landlords

3) Why did I have to sign another lease AFTER moving in

4) Was I a troubled tenant prior to all this

5) Payment history

Due to the fact that landlords have the resources to get a lawyer who knows how to manipulate the law to suite themselves and clients, and people living paycheck to paycheck can hardly find food to feed themselves and families, the LAW always favors them. As law abiding citizens who pay our rent on time, the law should take every step to get to the bottom of these issues prior to casting down judgments.
