After deciding not to proceed with going to school at ATMI, the loan amount that had been issued to the school was to be refunded to Mountain America Credit Union. I spoke to the manager, *** at ATMI, on Tuesday, 8/20/19, and a check for the remaining $644.00 was to be mailed to Mountain America Credit Union "that week". As of today, 9/3/19, Mountain America Credit Union has still not received that check and because of that, my credit has now been affected.
Thank you for the opportunity to respond to this complaint. After researching this matter it has been found that indeed the complainant was enrolled in multiple classes at our school. We have already processed a refund to Mountain America Credit Union in her name and we have been in the process of refunding the $644.00 that has been called into question in the complaint. Per our "refund Policy" refunds to any and all students will be made within a 30 day period. The $644.00 refund falls within this period of time, however we have processed and mailed the refund on 9/4/2019. We will also contact Mountain America Credit Union and alert them that the refund has been processed.
When speaking with ***, the manager at ATMI, there was never any mention that there was a 30 day process to refund any monies. He stated the check was going to be processed that week (the week of 8/20) and sent to MACU, so I would like an explanation as to why I was told that and why now, only after this complain, the check was mailed.
