I had this company do our bathroom fiberglass several years ago and now recently he did our kitchen counters and a bathroom counter. We are pleased with the process and the finished result.
OK/not Great, to Refinished a Previously Refinished Bathtub.
[redacted] at Arizona Perma Glaze did a project to glaze my tub about 1/2 year ago, that prior paint was chipping and cracking. I felt like I paid a $100 extra to use Perma Glaze, but I willing to pay as I wanted to get best job possible. My comments:
PROs
-Perfect color match to old tub color and surrounds.
-Took 4 hours as quoted (if my memory serves correctly).
- On time, as scheduled.
-Price as quoted, no pressure to spend more money.
-Edge or transition from paint to grout/wall done very well,
no gasp or overspray.
-So far, no major defects
CONs
-About 1/2 the tub is has slight ORANGE PEEL effect.
It seems to be in those areas that did not get sanded to bare metal. I asked and paid extra for complete stripping, but [redacted] insisted it was not necessary.
-There were many DUST SPECKS (20-30) that landed on paint, creating a an effect like a grain of sand embedded in paint. These you can feel on your skin, and catch hairs while trying to clean the tub. [redacted] requested I clean the tub several times, and these may go away. They did not go away.
I'm pleased overall, as I think it could be much worse, but I am not delighted.
