Arizona Water Company Reviews (4)

I think this is a worthless and unpleasant company to deal with and you are better off paying 25k+ for a personal well to be installed on your propertyThey are unwilling to ever admit they make a mistake as they seem to have some sort of God complex because the service they provide is a necessity in life
When they make a mistake they are will charge you fees they are unwilling to removeIf you are ever forced to deal with them because you are renting then you have my sincerest condolences
They also could care less about making anything easy on their customersThey will accept nothing unless it is cash or checkI personally never deal with either which is very aggravating in and of itselfBest of luck in finding someone other than the Arizona Water Company to service you house!

In September I stopped in the Apache Junction AZ Water office I had received a disconnect notice I had mailed my payment, but it hadn't been received by them in time to get processed before the disconnect notice went out I explained to the customer service rep that by the time I get my bill in the state I live in, I hardly have time to get it mailed back to them before it is late If I am traveling for work, and don't get it mailed the day after I get the bill it is late That is what happened I stopped in and talked to them about this The customer service rep recommended that I have the payment taken from my bank account I agreed, and signed the paperwork and gave a copy of a cancelled check I was told the payment would now come out of my bank account I was specifically told I would still get a paper statement, but that I should ignore that as it would be paid from my bank account I received the paper statement, and filed it assuming it would be paid I then received a disconnect notice - indicating my water service would be disconnected on 10/ I received the notice on 10/and called AZ water on 10/ I explained what I was told to them - they said I wasn't told that - I was I said I wanted to pay the bill now She gave me the amount The amount included late charges I said that I would pay the bill, but I would not pay the late charges as my payment being late was their fault I was told I had to pay them I asked to speak to a supervisor I was put on hold for several minutes I was then told the supervisor was in a meeting and I could leave a voicemail I said that I didn't want to spend more time calling them I was ASSURED the supervisor would call me back I left the voicemail in the morning I did not receive a call back I had left my work number for them to callWhen I did not get a call back, and I was going to be leaving work at the end of the day, I called them back again I was now told the supervisor was at lunch I explained again why I wanted to talk to him They had who it was I said the name of the person on the voicemail They again wanted to put me through to voicemail I said I wanted to get this taken care of They ASSURED me again he would call He did not I did not receive a call that day, or the next day I then sent an email to their contact email and explained the situation This was on 10/ I did not receive any response On 10/I contacted their corporate office They said they would research the issue - this person was the only nice and helpful person I spoke with After talking with her, I then received a call on 10/from the Apache Junction office I explained the situation again I told them that I was told my bill would be paid out of my bank account, it wasn't, and I didn't think I should have to pay their late charges I was put on hold again, and then told that a supervisor would have to look at it, and they would be able to do that until the next week I said I had to get the bill paid now, so the water didn't get disconnected She said yes, and that I had to pay the late fees and the supervisor would determine if they could be removed I said fine - I will pay the bill and late charges now She said they can't take payments over the phone I said that I had looked at paying on line that morning - and saw I would get charged an additional fee for paying on line, and I didn't think it was fair that I have to pay that If this had been resolved on 10/when I first called, and if I hadn't waited four days trying to get someone to answer, I would have been able to mail a check - but on 10/23, with the weekend, the payment wouldn't get to them by the 10/disconnect date In the end, I paid on line - I paid the late fees, I paid the on line payment fee I got screwed due to their lack of customer service I have had an account with them since I am not a habitually late payer, and I think they should have taken that into consideration If this was any type of service where a customer had an option to take their business elsewhere, I don't think they would be able to get away with this type of service Their lack of customer service cost me additional money, and that is not fair

They also could care less about making anything easy on their customers. They will accept nothing unless it is cash or check. I personally never deal with either which is very aggravating in and of itself. Best of luck in finding someone other than the Arizona Water Company to service you house!

In September 2015 I stopped in the Apache Junction AZ Water office. I had received a disconnect notice. I had mailed my payment, but it hadn't been received by them in time to get processed before the disconnect notice went out. I explained to the customer service rep that by the time I get my bill in the state I live in, I hardly have time to get it mailed back to them before it is late. If I am traveling for work, and don't get it mailed the day after I get the bill it is late. That is what happened. I stopped in and talked to them about this. The customer service rep recommended that I have the payment taken from my bank account. I agreed, and signed the paperwork and gave a copy of a cancelled check. I was told the payment would now come out of my bank account. I was specifically told I would still get a paper statement, but that I should ignore that as it would be paid from my bank account. I received the paper statement, and filed it assuming it would be paid. I then received a disconnect notice - indicating my water service would be disconnected on 10/28. I received the notice on 10/19 and called AZ water on 10/20. I explained what I was told to them - they said I wasn't told that - I was. I said I wanted to pay the bill now. She gave me the amount. The amount included late charges. I said that I would pay the bill, but I would not pay the late charges as my payment being late was their fault. I was told I had to pay them. I asked to speak to a supervisor. I was put on hold for several minutes. I was then told the supervisor was in a meeting and I could leave a voicemail. I said that I didn't want to spend more time calling them. I was ASSURED the supervisor would call me back. I left the voicemail in the morning. I did not receive a call back. I had left my work number for them to call. When I did not get a call back, and I was going to be leaving work at the end of the day, I called them back again. I was now told the supervisor was at lunch. I explained again why I wanted to talk to him. They had who it was I said the name of the person on the voicemail. They again wanted to put me through to voicemail. I said I wanted to get this taken care of. They ASSURED me again he would call. He did not. I did not receive a call that day, or the next day. I then sent an email to their contact email and explained the situation. This was on 10/22. I did not receive any response. On 10/23 I contacted their corporate office. They said they would research the issue - this person was the only nice and helpful person I spoke with. After talking with her, I then received a call on 10/23 from the Apache Junction office. I explained the situation again. I told them that I was told my bill would be paid out of my bank account, it wasn't, and I didn't think I should have to pay their late charges. I was put on hold again, and then told that a supervisor would have to look at it, and they would be able to do that until the next week. I said I had to get the bill paid now, so the water didn't get disconnected. She said yes, and that I had to pay the late fees and the supervisor would determine if they could be removed. I said fine - I will pay the bill and late charges now. She said they can't take payments over the phone. I said that I had looked at paying on line that morning - and saw I would get charged an additional fee for paying on line, and I didn't think it was fair that I have to pay that. If this had been resolved on 10/20 when I first called, and if I hadn't waited four days trying to get someone to answer, I would have been able to mail a check - but on 10/23, with the weekend, the payment wouldn't get to them by the 10/28 disconnect date. In the end, I paid on line - I paid the late fees, I paid the on line payment fee. I got screwed due to their lack of customer service. I have had an account with them since 2009. I am not a habitually late payer, and I think they should have taken that into consideration. If this was any type of service where a customer had an option to take their business elsewhere, I don't think they would be able to get away with this type of service. Their lack of customer service cost me additional money, and that is not fair.
