Arizona's Dukes of Air Reviews (15)

I used AZ Dukes of Air for a standard AC check in April 2018. Everything went fine. Or so I thought. I have two systems an AC system and a recirc system. The tech l had stated everything was fine. Then after he left I immediately started noticing that my recirc system now sounds like a airplane taking off in my bedroom. I have lived here for four years with zero issues. I called on Saturday, spoke to Tanya and scheduled an appt for it to be looked at by the same tech. Then she starts to tell me about charges involved and their service fee of 69.00 dollars that I will be responsible for. Ummmmmm, nooooooooo I paid my money for the checks the system. The noise started AFTER their visit. Provide good customer service and send the tech back out to look at what he may have changed. Pretty simple. Instead she wanted to tell me that she is the owner, and that she makes all the decisions, and blah blah blah. I hung up. She then harasses me, by calling three more times to tell me why I shouldn't have hung up on her. I already had the date and time of the appt. What more was there to discuss? Honestly. This chick is off the hook. Be professional. Fix what your tech obviously broke. The other negative reviews on here reference her as well. So she then cancelled my appt, for a recheck, and was super rude. Thats fine. I will contact the ROC and SRP and let them know how this company operates and performs or underperforms in the area of customer service. Calling me back and harassing me? Really? Thats necessary? Just makes you look bad.

Good afternoon.  The AC maintenance was performed on July 6, 2017 by our technician Chris.  At the time of the standard maintenance appointment, the pan was dry and the condensate line was cleared.  The Customer called on July 14th stating that water was leaking onto her hallway...

floor. We scheduled for Chris to return to the home that day July 14, 2017 where he found the secondary pan overflowing.  After further investigation Chris noted that the pan was lower than the drain line, pitched uphill and under the attic insulation.   The main drain wasn't draining due to poor install and un-level unit from the original installer many many years ago.  The customer recently purchased this home.  We are all about going the extra mile for our customers so we took care of the AC unit fixes at no charge and also had a dry waller come to the customers home to take care of the water damage.  Meanwhile the Customer was determined that our tech did something wrong. (however he didn't) and contacted John and I in the office continuing to push wrongful blame on a condensate leak.  Her conversations were loud and the customer threatened many times that she was going to contact an attorney.  John offered and did have our drywaller go out to the home at no charge to fix her drywall and we did complete hundreds of dollars in ac repairs at zero cost to the customer.  Upon the completion of the drywall repairs ,the customer emailed us stating her paint color, and demanding that we return to touch up  her wall.  I responded letting her know that we wouldn't be doing that.  She called in demanding that we come back to paint and refund her $55.95 tune up.  I let her know that we already did more than enough and denied her request.  She was overly rude and claimed she would see us in court!  I truly do believe that we have been overly generous about the situation and I do not believe that any additional funds are warranted.  Sincerely Tonya K[redacted]

Good morning,Here are some facts:We bought house in November 2016.Start using A/C in April 2017 maybe and before... July 6 , regular tune up done..actually he just checked everything and told everything is just a prefect. (Attached is the invoice and the report)July 21, the leak started that causes all I already went trough on my first email..it was just enough time for pan to fill up with the water. I spoke with multiple a/c specialists and all of them told me that dukes of air should get this resolved .We do have two home inspections reports  from July 2016 and November 2016 neither one indicating that anything was wrong with the installation system .( I can send that as well)The Dukes of Air Report is also not suggesting anything wrong..the reason I called them its to check everything so I don't have those kind of problems or any there problems especially in this time of the year. And we never had any issues with this specific problem as I said we used A/C from April 2017 and this happened in July. Also I never said I will call attorney....but she did said how do you think we will make money?I attached some photos of the damaged pan and the ceiling... By the way the ceiling need to be sand it first and than paint it by the professional cause the all walls have something on it's not just as a regular wall that anyone can paint we need to hire a professionals to do that which will cost a money. Please let me know if you need any other supportive documents or photos cause I couldn't attach more than 4 attachments. Also please advise is it anything else I can do.Thank YouMaya M[redacted]

Attn Revdex.com- I am happy to refund the $55.95 maintenance expense to Ms. M[redacted] and I have expressed below how our company has already given 110% to M[redacted].  Preventative Maintenance allows for a system to be checked out and cleaned up.  When we complete this maintenance we clear the condensate lines however there is NEVER a Guarantee or warrantee that they won't clog again.  Ms Maya reached out to us on the 21st (15 days after her maintenance) and noted that she had a water leak.  We got a tech back to her home that day (during the heat of summer) and waived the $67.00 service The repairs we completed that day totaled at least $450.00 and would not have been something we would have seen or addressed during preventative maintenance since the secondary pan was dry.  We did try to take care of Maya by fixing the leak and even hired a dry waller to fix the drywall costing us $240.00 however there has to be a limit in what is covered and Maya needs to take responsibility for her home.   Maya did threaten to contact an attorney and see us in court.  When a customer does this then our conversation has to end.

We've a Trane unit replaced on Dec. 22 and our experience of the services provided by the team led by Manny with Luis, Beto and Freddy was superb.

They showed up on time as scheduled and completed the project on budget.

And the work performed was excellent. It is a fine company to deal with.

Professional, friendly, informative, thorough, understanding, and supportive from the first and last calls with Christy, the appraisal by Dustin, and the fantastic installation crew of Manny, Luis, Freddy, and Beto. Amazing job everyone. The crew showed up 1/2 early and had the entire job (rip-out of old unit and installation of new unit) in 6 hours!!!! I would highly recommend Dukes of Air to anyone. Now I can finally breathe and relax that I don't have to worry anymore about not having A/C in Arizona in the summer !! Thank you everyone!! :)

I recently hired Arizona's Dukes of Air to come out and repair my AC unit. The service people were very kind and the technician was knowledgeable and fixed the problem, which was a broken blower fan, on the spot. However, the price to replace the blower motor was $593. I paid the technician and approved the invoice. However, once the technician left, the price of the repair didn't sit well with me. Sure enough, I did some quick internet research and found that the blower motor he installed was an $100 part. It took him 45 minutes total to as the problem and replace the motor. When I called Duke's of Air to request a detailed, broken down invoice they told me that this is just what they charge. They could not give me a break down because they didn't have them. They told me this was just the "cost of doing business" and was "what the market was charging for this type of work." All I was looking for was a breakdown of the cost to somehow justify this absurd markup. Surely an AC technician should not charge $800 an hour. I am a corporate attorney and charge half that an hour. I asked Duke's of Air how they come up with their pricing and they could not tell me. It appears to me that they literally go around and ask the other market competitors what they charge and then decide based on that. Just because everyone is doing something wrong does not make it ok. This seemed to be Duke's of Air's explanation. They claim they are not trying to hide anything however I do not see how that could possibly be the case. Surely as a consumer I am entitled to a cost breakdown for services. Duke's of Air is prompt, efficient and diagnosed the problem quickly. However, the premium they are charging for that service is just not justifiable. Perhaps this is just a whole collusive scheme among the AC repair companies here in the Valley, however, I would be remiss if I did not call out the one company I actually have dealt with.

We hired Arizona Dukes of Air to do the inspection of the A/C & Heating system at a home we have a contract to purchase. We researched the business prior to scheduling the inspection. We were very impressed at the high level of customer service, care and expertise that [redacted] provided us. Buying a home is a big commitment that requires you to investigate everything prior to the end of the 10 day inspection.
[redacted] fully inspected the attic areas where part of the unit is installed, the air conditioner outside and all components. He tested temperatures and a number of other important components to ensure the unit would provide us with efficiency.
The house was 17 years old and the system was reported as still running efficiently due to the regular maintenance by the owners. The technician was friendly and knowledgeable. I asked him to take a look at an area that looked like it had previously leaked from the condensation. He checked it and verified that it had previously leaked but was fixed.
I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking for an inspection with integrity, knowledge, competence and reliability. They go above and beyond by offering a monthly service at $10.00 a month that covers inspection twice yearly to maintain the unit and all components. I spend more on Starbucks a week!
If your considering buying a home, I would give them a call. You won't be disappointed in Arizona Dukes of Air.
C. Gill, Gilbert AZ (Home inspected was Apache Junction) I hope to be moved in July 1st:)

Dukes of air did a fanstastic job repairing our AC this week. We were out of town in spain for 2 weeks and came home to a broken AC. They sent out a technician right away, around our schedule, to fix it. We were up and running in under 30 minutes.

I would recommend them to anyone in the valley needing AC work done or to get a quote. They don't haggle and charge flat rate prices depending on the part that fails on the unit!

One of our air conditioning units went out in the AM. Called Dukes of Air and they were at my house by early afternoon. They walked the house, checked air ducts, and looked at the controls, within a few minutes of checking outside they determined the problem, gave a fair price and resolved the issue within the hour. They have experience, knowledge, and gave us a feeling that we are taken care of.

Dustin from Dukes of Air came out for a maintenance inspection this week. He was very professional, left everything clean and was extremely knowledgeable. You would have never guessed he wasn't the owner of the business the way we were treated. The inspection was priced very well for the level of service I received. I would recommend Dukes of Air to anyone looking for HVAC service and repair.
