I am a divorced mother of a teenager that needed braces Like most divorced parents, my divorce decree states that each parent is responsible for 1/of our son's dental bills So, I went to Arkansas Braces as they had a payment plan to accommodate my ex husband's financial needs BIG MISTAKE!
Arkansas Braces has refused on numerous occasions to advance my son's treatment for his braces due to my ex-husband being late on his payment They do not care that I already paid for my half up front nor that my son is behind in his treatments They actually tell me to contact my ex to tell him to make a payment Since when is it a parent's job to do collections work for a dentist?
When my ex does make a payment, I am not notified that the time is right to bring my son in for an appointment So, basically, my ex is paying Arkansas Braces for nothing as they are refusing to notify us when to bring him in for a treatment so unless I just call there at random, hoping the time is right to make an appointment, and actually reaching someone at the right time, my son's braces will just remain on his teeth, in limbo, indefinitely
My ex told me last weekend he paid them nearly $ So, I call Monday morning to make an appointment I am once again given the run around and told that since another payment is now due for his month, as it is now May, they will not advance his treatment unless he makes another paymentClearly, Arkansas Braces only cares about their money, not their patient's teeth

Horrible, incompetent dentist with no people skillsI took my son to this dentist in the beginning of August My son had to have three crowns put on, but unfortunately he was scared so they could only do two of themI rescheduled to have the third put on for , August 17,The dental assistant took him to the back and a few minutes later came back to get me because my son was scared, so I went back with himThe dentist came in and gave my son a shot in his gumsA few minutes later the dentist returned to do the procedureMy son is seven years old and was scaredHe sat up and cried and then I calmly talked to him and got him to lie back down so the dentist could start the procedureMy son started crying and it was then that the dentist angrily pushed his chair back, through up his arms, told the assistant "I can't do this", and walked offThen came back and angrily said he would have to refer him to a pediatric dentistMy son was so upsetI took his bib off and walked outWhen we got in my car, my son started crying hystericallyHe was terrifiedLike I said, he is sevenThe way the dentist handled this matter was completely unnecessaryNow, I am afraid that my son is going to be even more afraid of the dentist because of some incompetent jerk who has no people skills and obviously does not have the skills needed to treat children at his clinicI will never return to that office again, nor will I ever refer anyone to himEspecially someone who has childrenI am very upset

Not only did the staff members complain, insult, and belittle each other in front of me - they also frequently told me that the staff members who assisted in my treatment did so incorrectlyIn addition, every single issue I have had with my treatment has been met with complete and utter disregardBroken brackets, missing attachments, general questions - for every single thing a patient needs an appointment to address, means waiting literal weeks or even months before an appointment is availableSuch a terrible experienceShould have gone somewhere else, and would NOT recommend

My daughter has been with Ark. Braces for over 2 years now. She recently got her braces off, and was given the plastic retainers (which I very much dislike). But besides the fact that I don't like the plastic retainers, within a month of having them, our dog chewed her bottom retainer, and that same week, the container with the top retainer fell off the counter, and broke the top retainer in half. So I called immediately to schedule her for new retainers. Low and behold, they could not fit her in for new impressions for a week (keep in mind, she's only had these 1 month, so why wouldn't they have her last impressions still on hand?) So she was scheduled for today to get her new impressions. I use my Medical Flex card from Allegiance to pay for her braces, and allegiance is going through a new system upgrade, so the card was shut off for use from 11/20 until this Friday 12/4. So I called this morning to let them know that we would pay the retainer fees at pick up, but they would not allow this.... they refuse to even take an impression without paying?!?! What is that? I've never missed a monthly payment, and we've been with them over 2 years. I'm pretty sure we're good enough customers to have a bit of trust that the retainers will be paid for, and paid for prior to picking them up, as. I told her I would come in Friday and take care of payment, but again, was told they wouldn't even take the impression without payment.
It just doesn't make any sense to me whatsoever. Arkansas Dentistry & Braces is the most unaccommodating company that I've ever worked with (on top of this, I've had MULTIPLE times where they could not reschedule an appointment to work better for me). Fortunately I figured this out before I put my son through braces. We will NOT be using Ark. Dentistry and Braces, nor will I EVER recommend anyone to go there. I've paid them nearly $5000, and they are concerned that I won't pay $160. It just truly blows my mind.

dont usually do this... but im really disappionted in Arkansas Dentistry & Braces how can you go from charging 7,000 to 3,900 and thinking your old patients will be ok with not being able to have the new rate "because I started treatment when they were still $7xxx" thats more then 3,000 I could hav
