Review: I purchased an ASP brand baton and within the first day it no longer worked. I was told to ship it back using my own money. I thought it would be replaced with a new one considering the price of the item. It also had a lifetime warranty but instead of replacing it with a new one mine was repaired. I received the repaired one in the mail today and it's still having the same issue. I thought a company this big would have gave me a new one but instead I had to pay for shipping to receive the original one that is still messed up.Desired Settlement: Also I should be refunded the shipping for this overpriced defective item.

ASP is a manufacturer of law enforcement use of force products. One of these designs is anexpandable police baton for which we hold a number of United States and InternationalPatents. We have sold in excess of 3 million of these batons to police agencies in 103 nationsaround the world. In the United States this product is used by virtually every Federal, most StatePolice and the vast majority of municipal law enforcement agencies. This includes the MilwaukeePolice Department and the Wisconsin State Patrol.Each of our batons is manufactured, assembled and individually tested. It is then packaged withdetailed instructions for operation.ASP maintains a Test and Repair facility at our factory in Appleton. Wisconsin. Our batons carry aLimited Lifetime Warranty against defects in material or workmanship.The baton that Mr. [redacted] complains about was received and tested at our facility. The baton wasmanufactured and performs as designed. It functions flawlessly as per the instructions providedwith the baton. We could find no defect in either material or workmanship. We did determine thatthe baton had been improperly used and that the grip had been damage through thatmisuse.
