The long term receptionist misinformed me about the cost of the visitShe said that the visit costs $which I will have to pay upon arrival but if I have health insurance the $will be billed to my insurance provider

It is unfortunate that this patient felt misleadThe receptionist, one of our best and long term receptionist wouldn't know our fee schedule for InsurancesShe couldn't quote an adjusted price from an insurer since every plan variesThe $is the only thing she could quote up until the patient presented their insurance cardThe patients last sentence said " I had better options " Health insurance has uniform pricing and the patient would have had to pay the same amount where ever she wentUnderstanding health insurance plans can be difficult, especially with deductiblesWe are contracted to do it this wayI hope that I was able to answer all your questions and concerns with regard to this matterPlease feel free to call me anytime if I can be of any further assistance to you

When I spoke to the receptionist she stated that the office visit will cost $75 but if I have insurance the bill ($75) will be billed to my insurance company. The representative of Armistice Urgent Care who responded to my initial complaint seems unapologetic about the miscommunication that happened on their behalf. This office has proven to be unprofessional and unorganized. At this point I am no longer willing to pay $75 but I am willing to pay the remaining balance of the $75 after my insurance company is billed as the front desk receptionist imfored me. I 100% only choose to visit this office because of the price I was quoted I had better options for the price I was charged.

contracted with this new patient's insurer. According to our contract with them, we are obligated to bill them for all services provided to their members. She can use her insurance when she wants to up until she made our staff aware that she insurance. Once the receptionist was made aware of the patients insurance, we had to follow the requirements of our contract. We submitted our charge to the patients insurer in the amount of 160.00. That charge was adjusted by the insurer to $119.20 and applied to this patients deductible. We then billed the patient the $119.20. Following receipt of this injury and after reviewing the case, it was discovered that the test was performed and not billed. If the patient , had paid the office cash price they would have to pay another $55.00 for the test at the time of the visit. We did send the missed test bill to the patients insurer. If her deductible has not been met then the patients adjusted amount for their visit and their test will be applied to the patients deductible and we will bill that adjusted amount. If the patient had not presented their insurance then a payment would have not been applied toward their deductible thus they would still be responsible to pay that amount if they used their insurance then any payment would not have been applied toward their deductible thus they would still be responsible to pay that amount if they used their insurance again this year.
