Armor Coat Refinishing Reviews (4)

Review: I hired Armour Coat to refinish my son's bathtub as a house gift in June 2014. Within six months the coating starting to separate from the calking. Phone calls were not returned. Last month the coating started to peel and separate from the tub. Spent the last four weeks calling numerous times and leaving messages. Cost of the job was $1000. According to the contract the work is guaranteed for seven years. The company is owned and operated by [redacted]. He should be held responsible for the repair and as a business man should reach out to the consumer. His phone number is still operational but messages are never returned.Desired Settlement: Coating on tub should be repaired as stated in the contract. Issue of faulty coating should be resolved. Messages should be answered and follow up is essential to the consumer.

Review: I am a senior citizen. On 4/23/2014 [redacted], owner of Armor Coat Refinishing, refinished my bath tub. I contacted him within 2 days of the work informing him that he did not perform the service to my satisfaction. He then came to my house on 6/10/2014 at which time several issues were indicated that needed to be corrected (for example, wrong color shade, rough finished surface, excessive material slopped onto existing tile work). He then refused to resurface the tub which he claimed to guarantee to do if the customer was not satisfied. He cleaned the spattered material but did not resurface the tub or offer to do so at another time. He ran out of my house before I could inspect the work and drove off before I could call him back into the house.Desired Settlement: I would like [redacted] to refund the entire amount of $350.00 that I paid him in cash.

Review: Armor Coat came out three weeks ago to refinish my kitchen sink, they did a horrible job. It dried in all bubbles and bumps and when I called him back he told me to wait a week and he would return to fix it. We made two appointments and he failed to call or show up for both appointments. Now he will not even pick or return my phone calls. I do not know what to do to get the contractor to fix the mess that they created.Desired Settlement: I want him to come back and fix the mess he made or return my $200.00 for providing unacceptable work.

Review: The job that was completed was not done correctly. I paid for a texture in the tub that was finished. The tubs and sink just started to peel and bubble. I notified the company as soon as I noticed. They STILL have not even called back. I sent a certified letter to [redacted], the owner and still have not gotten a response.Desired Settlement: I am convinced that even if he fixes the issue, the quality of work is so bad that I will have the same problem. His 7 year warranty is useless if he doesn't call back. I want a full refund
