To Whom it May Concern, Armored Floors Inc. is devoted to customer satisfaction and we always work with our customers to reach and exceed expectations. With that being said, Mr. [redacted] has stated in his complaint that [redacted] is his sales person, a person who is not employed by Armored...

Floors but instead, Thermal Chem. Armored Floors Inc. has four sales people on staff, each one is trained to do thorough inspections of jobs so that nothing is missed. On occasion, Thermal Chem a vendor Armored Floors uses to buy epoxy products, sells jobs and then hires Armored Floors on as a subcontractor. That is the situation we have here. [redacted] was the one who sold the job, decided on the warranty, and supplied the material that he thought would work best for the job. The issue became that when Armored Floors laid the system that [redacted] instructed us to, the system failed because [redacted] did not take into consideration the vapor pressure and constant water that was going to be on the floor. While Armored Floors was only a subcontractor, we have gone out of our way to fix the problem for Mr. [redacted] since he told us about the issues he was having. But again, since it was not our job, we had to get approval from Thermal Chem before we could take the necessary steps to come to a resolution. Unfortunately, this process has taken significantly longer because Thermal Chem has switched management. Since this project, Armored Floors Inc. has put a policy in place that even when getting a job from Thermal Chem, we inspect the area prior to agreeing to the work since it is apparent they do not take all the necessary steps to assure the correct system is being used as well as customer satisfaction. Going forward, we have submitted a quote to Mr. [redacted] which we cut in half and will end up losing well over $10,000 to complete his reinstall. This quote was for a system with a vapor pressure barrier which is the system that should have been sold to him in the first place. Without that barrier his floor will continue to fail. We have asked Mr. [redacted] to approve this cost and pick 3 days where we could install the flooring, keeping in mind that the floor has to be completely dry for 3 days. While this may be an inconvenience, it is absolutely necessary so that the system does not fail as water and epoxy do not mix. We looked forward to helping Mr. [redacted] solve his problem as quickly as possible, despite the fact that the issue he has is ultimately with Thermal Chem since they are the ones who sold him the system.
