Complaint* ***
I am rejecting this response because: This product was installed CORRECTLY per the DVD instructions by a hired painter with the required roller bought through this company to create the stone look! Again it looks nothing like or even closely resembles stone at all!! I paid + for paint and that is it. This is advertising and the company's response of user error is NOT acceptable. I don't care if they have never had any complaints which I find hard to believe perhaps other customers weren't using on a pool deck. If they are going to advertise that this product works to create a stone finish on any surface then they need to stand by their claims! We have a standard pool deck as the pictures that I sent clearly illustrate and all we got was a painted pool deck! Since the company is saying they would have refunded it if we had not used the product but how would we have known that it wasn't going to create the look as advertised? I am willing to pay a partial amount for the product we used but all we have is a painted pool deck and nothing more. I will not recommend this company to anyone and eventually I will have to incur more costs to get what I thought I was getting from ArmorPoxy "Stone in a Can" . With that said I paid a total of 1266.19. I will pay for the shipping which was 129.00, leaving an amount of 1136.29. I am then willing to split that and my cost would be and the company would refund me

I am rejecting this response because: First of all I hired a painter to do this work...he did review the DVD and he did contact this company concerning this and so did the manager of our local [redacted] store and the company hung up on him!!  We were fully aware of color variations and hues!!!  My complaint is not in the color it is the FALSE ADVERTISING AND THE PHOTOS OF THE POOL DECK RIGHT NEXT TO THE ADVERTISEMENT CLAIMING TO CREATE A STONE SURFACE....IT LOOKS NOTHING LIKE STONE NOR DOES IT EVEN REMOTLEY MIMIC STONE HOWEVER THEIR ADVERTISING PHOTO CERTAINLY LOOKS LIKE STONE!!  This is NOT user error at all!!! Several layers were applied with the purchased roller and it looks nothing more than a painted pooldeck This is false advertising about "Stone in a Can".....it looks nothing more than a painted pool deck.  I paid 1200.00 for NOTHING but a painted deck even though their false advertisement claims a stone look on any surface!! [redacted]       Please refer to this link that is on the ArmorPoxy website!!!           and I will repeat again as in my initial complaint "I am completely dissatisfied with the product and false advertising of this product called "Armorstone". Advertisement of this product verbatim from website [redacted]/ "Now you can refinish virtually any surface with our amazing ArmorStone liquid "stone-in-a-can". Create a stone or tile surface! This amazing product consists of 3 easy to apply layers that anyone can do. No special skills are required, and since these are one part epoxy products, NO MIXING is needed, and since they are water based cleanup is easy with soap and water, and fumes are minimal" Also in their misrepresentation of this product right next to the above referenced advertisement is a picture of a stone surface pool deck! And that is exactly what I thought I would be getting after the product was applied...wrong!! I have nothing more than a painted pool deck. In no way does it even REMOTELY mimic stone!! I could have just gone and bought a can of paint and painted the pool deck. This is false and misleading representation of this product and unacceptable. As a side note their website also claims that they have supplied tinting formula charts to [redacted]or [redacted] so you can have your Armorstone tinted to your desired color. Another false representation from this company, we went to [redacted] and [redacted] in [redacted] and neither had heard of this company and had NO CHARTS! The manager from [redacted] called this company to get tinting info as he had no idea of this company and their claims...and he was hung up on by the Armorpoxy representative. So ArmorPoxy is using these aforementioned paint companies and they have no knowledge of this, another false and misleading claim! I have pictures of my pool deck before and after and also I printed their advertisement with the above claim. I also have email documentation sent to [redacted]" at Armor Poxy. I can provide all that is needed.

Our website shows various photos of completed projects, some solid colors, some very decorative with multiple colors. The product purchased and, as with any product, needs to be applied properly to achieve the results desired. Apparently [redacted] was assumed that the highly decorative 'faux painting' look of various hews and colors would come directly from the can which it will not. [redacted] purchased the DVD which goes into great detail about how to tint and apply the product by using multiple layers of different tints to achieve the desired outcome. Using the product 'from the can' directly will give a solid color result which she did achieve. Viewing the DVD clearly illustrates this. The product worked as intended. In selling this product for over 15 years, no one has ever filed a complaint about it, nor has been dissatisfied with the results based on how they applied it. If [redacted] had questions about the application prior to applying it, our Customer Service Dept. would have cheerfully instructed her on the various methods and techniques to apply it, and if out of her skill level would have arranged for a return/refund. Unfortunately since the product has been consumed, we cannot offer a refund. Tinting formulas and charts are on our website for printing to bring in to local paint stores for tinting. Our website clearly states that the charts are supplied by us for the tinting.

I am assuming the product is good based on the sample sent however I am having a difficult time getting my order filled. I used the online order form on January 28, 2015 to purchase 800 floor tiles and associated products. The order, over $3,800, did not arrive after a month so I phoned. Apparently the order had been lost. After three calls and another month it was finally located. I received the pallet of tiles and ramp edge however still have not gotten the protective coating and ramp edge adhesive. When I called on 5/13 I was told they would research by [redacted]. I followed up again on Friday, 5/15. I was told they had significant computer issues and she was having trouble researching. I called again on 5/19 and was told I would have a call back that afternoon. On 5/20 I called again and this time [redacted] was very agitated. Told me they were still having computer issues and wouldn't give me a time she'd call back, a tracking number or anything. While the remaining part of the order is only $500 I'm getting concerned about the run around and the spirit of the call. All in all fulfilling this order has taken over a dozen calls and five emails and I'm still missing the last pieces. Hopefully this review will prompt someone to call me and finalize the order so I don't need to do a chargeback on my credit card.
