Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint I advised the school before ever registering for classes that I was not going to be able to take viruses because of current financial status at the time and I would be missing too much work to make ends meet as a single income household with mortgage and so onI spoke directly with the finance department face to faceThe department advised that if I changed my mind, to let them knowI never signed up for classesSeems to me as if I was still signed up for these classes against my own will and accord, even after advising Greenville Tech that I couldn’t financially afford it neither could I afford missing the days from workI have tried to make contact with the school without successYes I took the test twice and did pay the application fees, but that’s allNever did I sign up for any course and no where is my signature signed and attested in regards to signing up for any course [To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, Please let us know below why you are rejecting the offer made by the business.] Regards, J [redacted] M [redacted]

In an effort to resolve this complaint please review the responses belowEmployees at Greenville Technical College log conversations with students in Colleague, the administrative software systemThere is no record of a conversation between MrM*** and staff in the business office or financial aid officeMrM*** was eligible for financial aidAttached is the documentation from Colleague which shows that the classes were added on 12/11/by operator ***Operator *** is J*** M***, this is his student identification numberCollege employees do not have access to student passwordsAs stated on the Greenville Technical College website, “Students are ultimately responsible for withdrawing themselvesDropping all unwanted classes will prevent a financial penaltyUntil all fees are satisfied, students will not be allowed to register for future classes or receive financial aid.”Greenville Technical College made several attempts to contact the studentWe left two voice messages on 4/13/17, and 6/28/to the phone numbers on fileWe mailed statements on 6/2/14, 6/8/15, 9/28/15, and 3/7/to the address on fileThe student was sent a certified letter on 9/18/informing him of the procedures to dispute the debt or make arrangements to pay the balance prior to the debt being submitted to the South Carolina Department of RevenueThe certified letter was returned to the college unclaimed, and unable to forwardThe debt has been submitted to the South Carolina Department of Revenue for collectionThe original amount due for the classes when MrM*** registered was $1,When the administrative withdrawal was done for not attending a fifty percent refund was applied resulting in a balance of $The balance was then adjusted to the NIC (Never in class) rate which is $per credit hour resulting in the final balance of $This is the lowest amount we are able to adjust this bill toPlease let us know if you need any additional information

The company was out many times in the past, and each time they would patch the their roof, which would not resolve the problemsEventually they told us it would be another thousand dollars to fix the same roof (we had construction on another part of the house that did not affect their roof)Since the roof has always leaked, I have a little confidence that paying them more money would result in a watertight roofHaving met with them many times, my husband did not feel that driving back up to the house to be told the same thing again was worth our time after such a frustrating experience with them

Durafoam did reach out to Mr*** after he left us a message the day before to schedule his roofHe canceled his contract and we sent his money backWe would still be willing to work with Mr *** if he still needs work to be done

At this time, I have finally received communication from the business via a 3rd person, Shandy G***, who has sent me the requested logons for the classesAt this point my complaint is settled with the business. Thank you,*** ***

I did not pay at all to Greenville Technical College for anything. I do not owe them anything as I've never taken the first course at this school

We started this particular job the last week of December, the following week it rained every day and we were not able to work on this roofSaturday was a sunny day but Saturday night and Sunday their was a chance of rain and it did rain SundayIf we had opened that roof on Saturday we may not have
been able to get it dried inWe did finish the roof on Wednesday and I did apologize to the *** for the delayThis issue has been resolved and I wish the Revdex.com to disregard this issue

We are still willing to meet with the customer and discuss this matterIt's tough to resolve anything when the customer is unwilling to meet

Durafoam Roofing attempted to meet with the customer's to discuss the problems with her roof. Our production manager, myself, and the customer had a meeting set up in October to meet at the house and go over this situation and work towards resolving this. Customer's husband contacted us right...

before the meeting and stated he did not want to meet with us and saying they appreciated the effort on our part to resolve the issue and declined meeting with us deciding to move on. I'm not sure how we are supposed to resolve this when the customer declines to meet with us and discuss the issues. We feel the one leak was coming from the stucco wall and the other from a gable section that we did not work on. Durafoam is still willing to meet with the customer and resolve this.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  I advised the school before ever registering for classes that I was not going to be able to take viruses because of current financial status at the time and I would be missing too much work to make ends meet as a single income household with mortgage and so on. I spoke directly with the finance department face to face. The department advised that if I changed my mind, to let them know. I never signed up for classes. Seems to me as if I was still signed up for these classes against my own will and accord, even after advising Greenville Tech that I couldn’t financially afford it neither could I afford missing the days from work. I have tried to make contact with the school without success. Yes I took the test twice and did pay the application fees, but that’s all. Never did I sign up for any course and no where is my signature signed and attested in regards to signing up for any course.

The student application fee was paid on 10/10/13. A Re-test fee was paid on 11/07/13. On 12/11/13 the student completed online registration himself through GTC4ME for 2014sp and the Financial Aid processing was at a point to hold his classes. Since the student did not attend the class, he was taken out for “NIC” (Never In Class). The college requires students to drop their classes prior to the end of the add/drop period if they decide not to attend to avoid financial responsibility as stated on the college website at http://gvltec.edu/tuition-refunds/. This would have opened up  the seat for another student. The account was adjusted for the “NIC” rate of $25.00 per credit hour. The college has made several attempts to contact the student. We left two voice messages on 4/13/17, and 6/28/17 to the phone numbers on file. We mailed statements on 6/2/14, 6/8/15, 9/28/15, and 3/7/16 to the address on file. The student was sent a certified letter on 9/18/17 informing him of the procedures to dispute the debt or make arrangements to pay the balance prior to the debt being submitted to the South Carolina Department of Revenue. The certified letter was returned to the college unclaimed, and unable to forward. We look forward to resolving this dispute and if you need additional information please let the college know.

On behalf of Greenville Technical College, I have
reviewed the compliant from [redacted] filed with the RevDex.com.  Ms. [redacted] award letter, referenced in the complaint,
is attached. The award letter clearly states in the first condition that “If I
am enrolled less than full-time (12 credit hours), grant awards will be reduced
accordingly”. Ms. [redacted] was registered for 6 credit hours. Her
financial aid was posted to her student account on June 22, 2015. The amount of
her award was $570 which was half of the $1140 she would have been awarded had
she been enrolled full-time for 12 credit hours. All students, including Ms. [redacted], have the ability to
view their bill on their GTC4me account at any time once they register. In Ms.
[redacted] case this was on May 1, 2015.  The
“Student Billing Schedule” reflects the anticipated award amount based on the
number of enrolled credit hours. Once Ms. [redacted] was awarded her financial aid
on May 19, 2015 the anticipated award amount was available.[redacted], CFGO                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                               Associate Vice President for Finance                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                         Greenville Technical College

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  I absolutely reject this response. I never in any way, shape, form, or fashion registered for any courses. I am to the point that I have made contact with D** C[redacted], US House of Representatives for the State of SC and under his guidance, will be beginning the stages of legal action if any deductions from Greenville Technical College are established for any reason. This is illegal as I never went through with registration and I will not back down from this and I will not settle for them pulling this false information that they seem to believe is accurate. At this point, I am beginning to wonder if I am not the only student this has happened to. I will continue to fight this. I owe Greenville Techinal College the amount of 0 dollars and 0 cents. Furthermore, I will be taking this to the news stations to shed light on Greenville Technical College’s mishandling of student affairs.
