Armstrong installed an under-sized a/c unit into our new construction home and are refusing to remedy the issue, even with proper documentation
My husband and I purchased a new construction home in August We were told our home was the most energy efficient as possible We immediately started receiving $200+ electric bills We contacted local a/c companies to find out what size a/c we should have in our sqft home Armstrong installed a ton unit into our home, and after service calls, they claim it is functioning fine We hired an independent contractor to perform a Manual J as requested and he confirmed that our a/c was ton too small I sent all the documentation to Armstrong and they claimed our contractor's information was not accurate and they stood behind their calculations They claim the Low-E windows will make a 1-ton difference in the size of the a/c unit We have 18+ pages of email communication, as well as written documentation from our contractor s
