The consumer was willing to negotiate a different amount if the business found any further issues that needed attention. Business failed to communicate  and obtain the authorization and consent to move forward with the $1,700 charged.

Review: Estimator said repairs would cost about $800.00 or a bit higher,because it was a time/material job(replace old water line and reconnect to city service),today in the mail I received a bill for $1783.69,which is more than twice the estimated cost.At no time did anybody tell me it was going up sky high from the estimate,nor did [redacted],the estimator talk to my representative,who was on the job site about the skyrocketing cost.....I feel this is classic case of misleading the customer about true costs,they (Armstrong) will get their money,but they are guilty of cheating a senior citizen,which I find very unkind. They can be sure I will notify all homeowners in Boulevard Park about this 'bait and switch'tactic that Armstrong Plumbing practices.Desired Settlement: I think Armstrong Plumbing should contact me and we should agree on a fair adjustment to the current bill.

Review: Bill was excessive; extra costs not mentioned; job was incomplete and my problems weren't solved.

I got a quote to camera the sewer lines. When the line became inaccessible from the one angle, instead of trying another access to reach the remainder, the plumber just quit and gave me the bill. Not only was the bill excessive, it included extra costs not mentioned (separate camera cost), but they want more more money to finish the job. I also didn't get the pictures he promised that I already paid for. Desired Settlement: I want a refund because I need to hire a reputible plumber to camera the entire sewer system so I know why I am having so much sewer problems.
