I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below
There is no resolution in my complaint from Arnold Furniture in their response Yes, I did, in fact, call Arnold Furniture regarding the problems forementioned and was told by salesman that tags must have fallen off in truck during delivery. I needed these tags in reference on how to adjust. It was not until I contacted the Revdex.com that these tags were sent to me. Salesman also stated that he would contact manufacturer as to adjustments and did follow up stating there are no adjustments available. Salesman offered his service man upholsterer to my home and check out my complaint. Upholsterer was here approximately minutes stating he understood my complaint and did agree there are not adjustments that can be made on this piece as well as it is NOT to have to kick hard to get off and close the footrest. Service man upholsterer said he would get back to salesman on Tuesday, after the New Year holiday and report his findings. I did not ask nor did service man upholster offer to document his findingsI am astonished at his response to Arnold Furniture of his inspection of the total opposite of what he stated to me in my home. My spouse was present as witness to the upholsterer agreeing my complaint was true and unable to make any adjustments as informed by Arnold Furniture beforehandThe response by this upholster is 100% total difference in what was witnessed/stated in my home. To resolve my complaint, I would prefer MrsM*** come to my home to sit on my purchase and try to place footrest back into place in a fashion and see her get off easily. To be clear, since MrsM*** states this is not a defective item, how would I assume it would function in a different manner than intended? I do not understand this response. I prefer the owner witness the discrepancies I found while using this furniture within days of receipt. This love seat was intended to sit, relax and get off in a manner. To constantly kick footrest to lock, found within days of purchase is an existing ongoing issue. If no adjustments can be made, then how is this sale guaranteed with problems from day one of delivery? Is there no guarantee of customer service with Arnold Furniture? I received nothing stating of "no guarantee" for any length of time, let alone within days of delivery. I believe my complaint is justified when it is impossible to get off of furniture only by forceful kicking of foot rest over and over to lock, as not adjustable or by bodily rolling off of this loveset and manually forcing to close footrest with hands, pushing hard to close. So, in fact, is there no guarantee on my purchase? No customer service guarantee? Am I to keep this loveseat purchased for over $because there are no adjustments to be made? I only have a sales receipt, nothing stating no guarantee. I am dissatisfied with business resolution, as there is no resolution to solve existing issues.Regards,*** ***

I was forewarned, by many, to not deal with this local business, and now I do understand.Thank you

[redacted]This is a very strange response as the man sent to my home, Richard M[redacted], did in fact, agree that this piece of furniture is not  adjustable for the seating in an upright position as well as extremely difficult to put foot rest back into place.  Mr. M[redacted] also agreed this furniture is not as it should be comparing to a La Z Boy.  No mention of La Z Boy was ever mentioned in comparison, other than we placed our 14 year old recliner rocker in the trash to replace with a new piece of furniture, which we preferred a loveseat.  There is only one way to raise the foot rest and must manually kick, as hard as possible, to close the foot rest.  I, myself, as well as granddaughter, who is 11 years old, mother who is 90 and spouse, all agree in the difficulty to close this foot rest to get off of this piece of furniture.  Having this piece for only a week, when I called Arnold Furniture, the salesman, Michael M[redacted], immediately disputed this fact as well as stated the tags must have fallen off during delivery.  Not until I contacted the Revdex.com did I receive the tags describing this piece as no adjustments are available.  After only a few weeks, it is definite to place foot rest down without actually hard kicking over & over until closed.  The reply from Mr. M[redacted] does not match his statement at my home on Saturday, 12/30/17, with myself and spouse as witness.  The discrepancy in repairman's opinion of inspection is certainly different that we witnessed, as he agreed fault in this piece of furniture, that yes, we free willingly purchased.  I would like a refund and return this defective piece immediately as to constant kicking foot rest closed will certainly deteriorate the material as well as is not normal for any style or manufacturer of furniture.

I called again on February 3 and told Mrs. [redacted] that I would come up and inspect her furniture. She wanted my 84-year-old mother to inspect her furniture. I explained to her that my 84-year-old mother wasn't going to look at the loveseat. I offered my service, she declined, saying what is the point! My response was, this is what you requested in the letter, having someone from our store to sit on your furniture. Mrs. [redacted] then said forget it, lesson learned, and she will never recommend our store to anyone. I offered my services to Mrs. [redacted] again, asking her to talk it over with her husband, and please call me back with in the hour. I called back ninety minutes later with no answer.Sincerely, MICHAEL M[redacted]

the product as defective, he assured the customer the recliner was not defective, however he reminded them the product is manufactured differently than the La-Z-Boy recliner the customer has/had owned. Not all rocker recliners have the same functionality, and the Catnapper Rocker Rediner Loveseat product they freely purchased, does not have the same specifications as the La-Z-Boy product. All of which were reviewed prior to the sale.*After the call on 12/14/17, Michael immediately called the Catnapper's Manufacturer's Sales Representative to see if there were any possible adjustments to the recliner he was not aware of, as part of his and Arnold Furniture's customer service. The Manufacture's Sales Representative indicated no Manufacturer's adjustments we re possible, however suggested Michael reach ou tto the Upholsterer to see if he had any 'tricks to the trade'to satisfy this customer's request. The Upholsterer has made an appointment with the customer for December 30th. I have enclosed his report with this letter.*On occasion, tags do break off during delivery. In such cases, it is customary to mail out any items that may have not been attached, or discovered missing prior to the delivery driver's departure. Michael did just that, he immediately mailed out the missing tag and Manufacturer's Warranty.To be clear, this is not a defective product. Review: Sofa was bought and delivered 1 year ago. Arm collapsed once and sofa was replaced. Arm on new sofa is collapsed again and bottom of sofa broke when my son sat on it. He is not a large kid. I have been calling Arnold Furniture for 3 1/2 weeks now to get something done and keep getting the run around. The first week, the manufacturer was at a show and they were trying to contact them. The second and third week they tell me that a repair man is supposed to call me to set up a time to come see it. I have not gotten a call from the repair man or from Arnold. Every time there has been contact, I have had to call. I should not have to wait a month just to get a call about the problem. This sofa is not even a year old! This is the second sofa in one years time. The company should be standing behind the product that they sell and making this right.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund but if I can not get that, I would settle for a replacement.
