Review: I dropped off a pair of brown MUKLUK fur boots to Aron's Shoe Repair on Friday, November [redacted] ([redacted]y) 2013. I dealt with two employees who said they could do what I was asking regarding the boots. They wrote down on my receipt that I could pick them up the following Saturday 12/*/2013. They requested that I pay half of the price and half when I pick them up for a total of $30.00. Both employees I dealt with were [redacted] gentlemen which is relevant in that they do not answer the phone. They have a light that goes on and off when their phone is ringing but they don't answer the phone. I went there starting from Saturday 12/* through today 12/** and they are continuously closed. Every day I go there and there is a sign on the door that they will be in tomorrow (the next day) as if they come to the store every night and put a sign on the door that says "will open monday, will open tuesday, etc. etc. Their business hours on the door claim to be 8:30-6 Monday through Friday & 9-6 on Saturdays. Also their answering machine gives those hours as well and an additional number for further questions. I have called that number several times and gotten no answer either after leaving several messages.Desired Settlement: I want my boots and my $15.00 back for all the gas I wasted from [redacted] to [redacted] the past four days hoping they were open so I could get my boots.

This is Aron Shoe Repair Shop. I am the only [redacted] at the shop. The second [redacted] is training in the shop. I was informed by the Revdex.com (Revdex.com) with an ID number of [redacted] on December ** of a customer’s complaint about the shop being closed for approximately two weeks. The customer, [redacted], was correct when she said she was supposed to pick up the shoes on the [redacted] of December. The day she came in, on November [redacted], she asked to repair her boots by tightening the calf circumference. I have never done this before and I informed her that I will try to tighten the circumference of the boots. The total price was $30, and she had to make a deposit of $15. It was agreed that she will pay another $15 when the boots are ready. Unfortunately, I was extremely sick and was not able to repair her shoes as well as other shoes. The reason the sign changed three times to “will open Monday, etc” was because I had hoped to return but was not physically ready. Once I returned, I received a letter from Revdex.com regarding the complaint. I addressed it immediately, as the letter advised, by contacting [redacted] to discuss her order. [redacted] expressed her frustration and I understood and regretted for the way things happened. [redacted] and her husband mentioned that her boots were very expensive. After a long discussion, I decided it’d be best to return the boots in the same condition she brought them instead of trying to repair the boots, considering her request was new for me. I did not want to this issue to escalate. I also returned [redacted]’s $15 deposit. I understood that she was very upset and I would be too if I was in her position. I asked her to come in on December ** to pick up the boots. [redacted] showed up in the morning to pick up her boots and to get her $15. After she left, I realized that I forgot to reimburse her for gas money that she spent commuting to the shop frequently. I called [redacted] and offered to pay gas money, and [redacted] said “no, it’s fine.” I have also apologized to [redacted] over the phone a few times. I hope [redacted] accepts my apology and will continue to be my customer regardless of what happened.
