message that payment did not go through.02/21/2014 - Courtesy call attempted regarding balance on
account.02/2//2014 - Member was told that payment of all past due
amounts needed to be paid before cancellation could be processed. Member stated
he would stop in and pay the upcoming weekend.03/20/2014 - Courtesy call attempted regarding balance on
account.Member never came in and never responded to calls from us or notices.  Was sent to Collection Company on April 21,
2914.There were no notes about any attempt to add anyone to
account or any interactions other than above, member was called on November 5,
2015 and had no idea what we were calling about, stated he would call us back.We always do our best to work with our members and try to
avoid use of collection services, as shown above we offered to help but member
did not follow through.

Very POOR MANAGEMENT. I was robbed there. Someone broke into my locker in the locker room and stole a substantial amount of money. The lack of willingness to help led me to consider the possibility that the thief can be among the staff. The lack of accountability and professionalism is unbelievable. I never have been so frustrated with a gym. I am sure this wouldn't happen under the former OMNI management. This serve as an alert to the current customers and prospects: ATC Boy Scout's location lacks of professionalism, carrying and respect to clients!! Terrible!!!

I signed a "12 month" contract (On 9/9/2015) with auto debit from my bank. At least that is what I was told. After a Down payment auto draw of another $34.47, they withdrew from my account every month $27.67 starting 9-15-15 and continued for six months. Then 4 months later, they withdrew $110.67. When I called and asked, they told me "you changed your credit card and we weren't getting paid" I NEVER CHANGED MY DEBIT CARD. Obviously they had a billing problem, and then made up for it and took all the money in one months payment. I told them THEN (June 17th, 2016) After this 12 months is up and finished, I do not wish to continue. They assured me they would note it on my account and after the 12 month contract was up, I would be finished paying them. They told me at that time that my last payment would be 9-15-2016. WELL what they don't tell you is the contract is NOT for 12 months..it is for 13 months with additional "down payment" for Administration Fees. And then they continue to charge you every month after until you meet their demands. My debit card was hit again on Oct 17th 2016. When I called and asked why this was happening and I wanted to cancel my account. I was told by a "manager" named Frank M[redacted] my account was now canceled. I then called the Port Charlotte location and asked if my account was closed. At that time I was told "No your account is still open and you will be charged on November 15, 2016, because there was not a 30 day notification". I told them I would notify my bank to block any more charges. They politely told me "I'm sorry but you will be sent to collection agency if you do that" And they said there was nothing they could do. HOW DO I GET THEM TO STOP?

We did tell him to add my wife, he said he would and never did. We were not passed due at the time of request. The assistant manager at the time neglected to do what we requested. Then tried to confront us about me not being added. Our account was NOT passed due at the time of request, I told the assistant manager to cancel due to poor customer service. The gym then continued to try to charge us. I told the assistant manager for the owners info. We tried multiple times to contact the assistant managers superior. Our calls were never returned. We refuse to deal with the same assitant manager. He made our experience very unpleasant. I refuese to pay charges accrued due to the irresponisble management that cant own up to their actions.

WORST customer service I have ever experienced. I had joined this gym in the fall of 2015. Upon joining the gym I decided to try some personal training to help strengthen my back. After several tries with the personal training my back pain grew worse and developed horrible muscle spasms which required injections and massage therapy. My doctor forbid anymore personal training and also recommended that I not continue with my gym membership as I was very limited in what I could do. My basic form of exercise permitted was walking. In February 2016, my doctor wrote a note to Around The Clock Fitness saying that I was not permitted to personal train or continue with the gym membership. I personally took this note in and spoke with Mike who was the general manager at the time. Mike personally told me he would take care of the cancellation. I had to break my daughters contract as she was not able to get to the gym without me transporting her, because we live on the other side of town we felt best to cancel this. Around The Clock owed me a refund of $280 for training that I was charged before it ever even began, we agreed to apply $152 of this refund to pay for my daughters cancellation and I would then be refunded $127. I received the refund, my daughter's membership was cancelled and because no one ever called me back to discuss if they had any issues with the dr. note I assumed my membership and training was cancelled too.

While recently logging in to pay my credit card statement, I discovered a charge of $30.74 for the month of May, then another charge of $280 and then another charge of $30.74 for the 1st of June. Upon calling Around The Clock to ask what these charges were for I was told that my account had never been cancelled that it was put on hold. I discussed with Nathan how I had come in on February 19th to cancel this, that I had brought in a note and had been assured by the general manager Mike that this would be done. Nathan apologized and said this did not happen. He did not even see where Mike had scanned my dr. note into the system. I asked to have Mike call me, to which I was told that Mike was no longer there and that they were undergoing some management changes and the soonest a could speak with a manager would be the following Monday (which meant I would have to wait 5 days before I could speak to a manager regarding this issue!). I told Nathan I could not wait until Monday as there was over $300 of charges on my card that I did not authorize. Nathan asked if I could bring in a copy of the note so that he would scan it in, I did this the next day and was promised that by Monday I could expect someone to follow up with me to let me know my account and training was cancelled. Monday came and went, I finally called today, spoke with Nathan who said that there were no comments on my account and that it appears no one has even taken a look at this. Again Nathan apologized, said he would put a note in the system to have someone call me on Monday, but that he had no idea who would be calling me because they are in-between management issues.

I have never dealt with a company that is so unprofessional as Around The Clock Fitness... the funny thing is they are super nice and helpful when they are getting your money, but as soon as you have an issue or need to cancel for medical reasons they treat you completely the opposite. I would never recommend this company to anyone.
