couple of reasons. Wood picket fences are generally installed in residential yards with many variables that effect the layout of the individual pickets such as property line restrictions, grade changes, gate locations uneven or inconsistent ground to name a few.  Also, the width of the boards used for wood pickets fences often vary by as much as a quarter inch.  The post location for each section of fence will also vary because of obstructions below the surface such as utility lines (natural gas, electric power, telecommunications, etc.), rocks and tree roots.  It is impossible to make identical spacing throughout a specific project when these factors are taken into consideration.  With this being said here is how we try to space wood pickets as consistent as possible.  We start with a picket next to the first post and then space the pickets approximately 2-1/4" - 2-1/2" evenly until you get the next post in the fence line.  Once we get to this point we spread the last one to three pickets out equally and as close to the standard 2-1/4" - 2-1/2" as possible.  Sometimes a picket will again end up next to the post and if this is the case we begin the adjacent section with the standard space before the first picket in the section is nailed and vice versa.  This allows the fence to have a more consistent appearance throughout the entire project while overcoming some of the factors and obstructions listed above.  It is incorrect to space pickets evenly for each section because the spacing is then inconsistent from section to section therefore giving the overall project a very inconsistent appearance.

Date: Mon, Dec 11, 2017 at 4:55 PMSubject: RE: [redacted] Rebuttal ([redacted])To: [redacted] <[redacted]@myRevdex.com.org>Thank you for forwarding me the email.  I am not sure who he spoke to 10 days ago from our company, no one here has contacted him after he hung up on us in mid- October.  We offered to have an owner meet with him way back in October but he did not want to accommodate that.  We turned it over to collections in mid-October which is where we are still at.  In an effort to bring this to an end here are two solutions I propose: Solution 1:He agrees to meet with ownership on-site to see if we can come up with a solutions short of building a completely new fence.  If he has some pickets that he would like us to remove and replace/re-space then we can certainly do that.Solution 2:The last ditch effort is that if he agrees to update his completely unfair reviews he posted on [redacted], [redacted] and Revdex.com then we would credit him the balance of the fence and consider the issue closed. And if he would like, we would come and remove the fence from his property.I sincerely hope we can resolve this via your brokering. Thank you, Dave S
