Arrowhead Brick Pavers, Inc. Reviews (2)

Over all the project turned out well BUT after sales service is VERY VERY BAD. I WILL NOT RECOMMEND ARROW HEAD BRICK PAVER TO ANY ONE AS THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE OR AFTER SALES SERVICE IS VERY BAD.

1) During the price negotiation, Mike (Owner) agreed to put/apply wet sealer after few months but later declined to do this.
I called Arrow-Head office nearly 15 times and Karrie (Mark wife) picked up the phone and gave various reasons to avoid me.
She said, I will talk to Mike and revert back / Mike is busy with clients / Mike is out in field etc etc... and they never did

2) This is 14000.00 dollar worth project and they never came to see how the project went over all. They completed and left the 4 th day.

3) Laying plastic pipe under the patio to carry the rain water to county outlet was part of the project. The 3rd party contractors who did the patio kicked the plastic pipe while laying it and it disturbed the basement pump greatly. During the next day rain, that was a water leakage in basement. I have taken the pictures, call Mike and showed him.
Mike simply said, NO NO, my contractors have not done this and they don't do. I guarantee that, water leakage in my basement the next day was due to this. Arrow Head contractors did not know, what would be the impact of some of the activities that are doing in a project.
they lacked ideas on the whole project and we have to tell them.

Mike talks to a lot during sales cycle and tells us that, he has more than 15yrs Exp in doing patio project. But I don't see any professional or ideas when it comes to doing it.

Thanks

As Owner of Arrowhead Brick Pavers. THIS CLAIM AS ZERO TO WITH OUR WORK CAPABILTY AND PERFORMANCE.
Arrowhead Is a Quality Hardscape company who always Strives for Safety both on site and off-site.
Facts : Person making claim is a...

daughter of a customer we had worked with. These homeowners were "extremely" thorough about company and work details both prior to accepting Arrowheads proposal and after . Prior to starting the work performed at this residence Homeowners and Arrowhead had discussed job details from Materials to be used to onsite installation procedures which included precise start date , day to day expectation plans , step by step installation techniques , machinery to be used to excavate and anticipated finish dates. JOB PERFORMED WAS THIS : REPLACE EXISTING CONCRETE DRIVEWAY / APRON AND FRONT APPROACH WALK.
Homeowners were very clear that this is construction and there will be times during excavation when you will have to park cars on street away from work and or at neighbors. ( This was discussed and agreed ). We typically arrive at residence at approx. 7:30 am like clockwork to start working.
After a 1/2 day already working this day which was july 25th 2013 The homeowners daughter walks down from the home to the street ,passes ** a piece of equiptment that is approx. 6ft. wide x 5 ft x 2 .6ft tall ( Heavy steel skidsteer attachment ) that is in the street approx. 6ft in front of her car directly next to driveway apron where we were working and gets in her car and drives into to corner of this piece of equiptment with her car. ( Now Arrowhead has been already working several hours on this site Breaking up concrete on their existing driveway. We have a bobcat with a concrete attachment that hooks to machine.
AS WE ARE USING THIS PIECE OF MACHINERY HOW ARE WE SUPPOSED TO put CAUTION TAPE THIS. THE SITE UNDER CONSTRUCTION IS A OBVIOUS TO TAKE CAUTION AND BE OBSERVENT OF ALL AREAS AND ITEMS AROUND>
ORANGE CONES WERE PLACED AROUND TRUCKS AND TRAILERS ON STREET TO ALERT PASSING [redacted] AS THEY APPROACH.
AS the daughter started to pull forward towards the piece of equiptment the homeowners father was yelling to stop noticing that she was going to drive directly into it. Windows were up and it was to late. At this time we observed approx. a 6 to 8 Inch scratch on front passenger [redacted] of car.
At this time zero was discussed that this was Arrowheads Fault by both homeowner and claimant.
Now 10 months later Arrowhead receives a call . I NEED YOUR INSURANCE INFO TO CLAIM MY CAR "
Homeowners were very pleased with our work performance and the quality of the job installed in july 2013 and we were paid in full at time of completion. Nothing was mentioned about this accident upon completion of our work until now current 2014. Daughter has mailed me a " 1 " quote for repairs on her vehicle from replacing headlamp to painting front bumper , front fender , passenger [redacted] , door handles , Replace trim moldings extc. for a total sum of $1599.
AS per COMPLAINT ABOVE : CHILDREN , BRUTAL COLD WINTER , AND ARROWHEAD REFUSING OBLIGATIONs HAD OR HAS ZERO TO DO WITH ANYHTING regarding this situation. DAMAGED CAR> . Children had nothing to do with this . Winter. It was July. and Arrowhead Did Not refuse anything . AS a Owner I am sorry for what has happened . I am always willing to work , discuss or compromise on Any fair scenario.
I believe this is a unfair claim misleading and manipulating the facts using the above items to try to acquire Arrowhead to act.
We were also Threatened by Daughter ( Claimant )that she works for a Social MEDIA company and if we don't pay This is how she is going to proceed with Arrowhead .
This is Not Fair !
Arrowhead Has Many pleased customers with many positive experiences.
Arrowhead Will and has never made a decision that would affect and or jeopardize our good standing
with a customer.
PLease feel free to contact us. ad.
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2014/06/13) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Arrowhead Brick Pavers account of what happened is completely IMPOSSIBLE and doesn't even make sense - there was no way for me to walk by the front of my car - I came from the backyard (to avoid the work area) which is part of the problem. I avoided the work area as requested, however, they did not uphold their side of things by keeping a safe work environment. I couldn't see the equiptment from my driver's seat because it was so close to my car and very low-profile equiptment.
My neighbor was walking to his car for work when this happened and witnessed the entire incident.
We all know what really happened, they worked unsafely and are now trying to escape their responsibility of repairing the damage they did. This is completely unethical.
The only orange cone they ever used was one my dad gave them from our house AFTER my accident to avoid another incident.
My parents were not happy with their work at all. There were safety concerns all over the job site - as my mom asked them not to leave their equiptment laying around unmarked since there were young children at our house and our next door neighbors house, but they proceeded to do so anyway. Additionally, my parents had to call Arrowhead back several times to fix issues with grout and smaller bricks.

Final Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2014/06/13) */
The story is one sided to benefit driver . Driver was aware of construction site. The driver failed to be a responsible driver and look where they were driving . There was absolutely no way you can get into a car and drive into a piece of equipment that has been sitting there and on a construction site and then tell me it is our fault . If this was a employee or any other person sitting here rather than the piece of equipment would if be there fault the car hit them . Drivers must be aware of everything around them .If in fact this is such a bid problem . No police report , no insurance report , never contacted arrowhead and or my insurance to try to document or report until now 11 months later . We are a established company it is not hard to find us or come to our office let alone parents / customers have business and cell numbers. We were never contacted because this was never a problem related to arrowhead until now for whatever reason . We have absolutely no problem standing by a customer in case a accident occurs . This is why we have insurance . But this is not a fair or legitimate claim .we have many pleased customers and we have a very good track record of standing by our work and or customers . We will a continue to stand by our customers . Any questions please contact me to discuss further . Thank you
