I recently had tiles installed from this vendor. The service representative was entirely unaccommodating and dishonest. He refused to execute the work in the manner agreed upon.
When I questioned his team of laborers about the nature of unwanted changes to the tile pattern, he responded by calling me and threatening to halt work halfway through the project - his tone was extremely combative, disrespectful and threatening.
I chose to have them complete the project rather than have a torn up, half complete floor. When complete, the work was very poorly executed - broken tiles, irregular patterns and generally sloppy work. Additionally, he demanded I pay by check despite a clearly defined clause in our contract that I pay by credit card.
I would never recommend this team to anyone.

In response to the

0.7pt;"> complaint letter from[redacted], I would like to present our position.

First, the tile purchase price was $9100.00 including all labor, tax, freight, and floor preparation.  The tile installed was a V3 (high shade variation rating)

wood look tile.  In fact, this tile is intentionally shaded heavily to simulate real wood floors.  We knew of no problem with the job until after the installation had progressed to completion.  Normally, once the floor is complete the overall appearance is such that the color and shade variations are no longer a problem.

It should be noted that all the work was done without a deposit, or a signed contract. All materials and labor were installed in the home with the customer present and she gave tacit approval of colors and materials by allowing the job to proceed. l met with Mrs. [redacted] for final payment. During my discussions with Mrs.

[redacted] and realizing her expectations, however unrealistic, were not being met we offered to redo the installation.  She said she did not want to go through the

mess again but felt some compensation was necessary, so I offered to discount the original agreed price by $1500.00  She accepted the discount and agreed to pay the balance due.  It was when she came in to pay the final balance she again complained she did not like the tile. I asked if another $1600.00 would make the job acceptable. She agreed and paid the balance due less the $1600.00.  Her total discounts now were $3100.00. She paid the $6000.00 balance and left the store.

l cannot account for her feeling my wife verbally attacked her.  Or her subsequent feeling that I was in "attack mode" during my last visit to her house. What people construe to be rudeness is different with everyone. There were other witnesses to my wife's interaction with Mrs. [redacted] and no one noticed any harsh language.

We pride ourselves on customer satisfaction and want her to be happy with the work we did for her. In keeping with that, we will replace the entire floor with new product of the same quality and price, giving her credit for $6000 she paid and she will need to repay us the $3100 we gave as a discount   Her out of pocket cost will be the $9100.00 originally agreed upon. Under no circumstance wil.l we refund or credit the $6000.00 paid for the discounted floor unless she agrees to a replacement. Our policy does not allow anyone to keep a floor for free just because they don't like it or if it is defective in any way.

It is unfortunate that time and circumstances create misunderstandings, schedule conflicts and bad experiences for all concerned.  We hope she will allow us to redo the floors with a product that she will find more acceptable.

Sincerely,

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. The people at Arrowhead flooring are liars The floor was never subjected to NUMEROUS cleanings with excessive amounts of water or other cleaning solutions. While trying to resolve this issue the sales rep for Arrow Head Flooring hung up on us and we filed a complaint. We took up the flooring installed by Arrowhead and installed wood that we bought from [redacted] and installed it ourselves. While taking up the flooring by Arrowhead we discovered that the pieces that had cracked on the edge were incredibly loose from the installation. This was the source on the problem. Additionally Arrow head sold us way too much flooring. The wood we bought as [redacted] cover the floor with 145.00 Sq. FT. Arrow head sold us 167.67 sqft. I trusted their calculation. MY fault don't be trusting of these guy. We want a refund of $335.67 for the cost of the flooring we are not asking for a refund for labor and the overpriced molding.

Regards,

Our inspector inspected this floor in early June.  By mutual agreement, the homeowner and our inspector agreed to revisit this issue when both parties returned from vacations in mid-late July.  Unfortunately, the local [redacted] rep resigned in the interim which caused a slight delay in...

processing. The inspection revealed gaps at most of the joints throughout the floor.  This is a common problem with laminate flooring that has been exposed to numerous cleanings with excessive amounts of water or other cleaning solutions.  The moisture will cause the joints to expand and begin to come apart and dirt will penetrate the joint.  This floor, if cleaned properly, will not develop the joint gaps seen by the homeowner.  As a policy, we submit all consumer complaints to the manufacturer for review.  We reported the details of the situation on our report.  The manufacturer's claim department agreed with our assessment that this was a maintenance issue and not a material failure.  This failure is not covered by warranty.  The installation done by Arrowhead has never been questioned and was done according to all industry standards.  It is the final opinion of Arrowhead Carpet and [redacted] that the failure of this floor is due to consumer negligence.  In an effort to appease our unhappy customer we offered a discount on any replacement floor they would choose.  They immediately turned that down and demanded full refund.
