[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, you must give us a reason why you are rejecting the responseIf no reason is received your complaint will be closed as Answered] Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: My biggest complaint is that the dress I received was not the size that was supposed to be ordered as indicated on my receipt I understand they had reasons for ordering a different size after reviewing some other information, but I was never called or notified that the size would be changing I cannot believe this company would think that ordering a different sized dress than what they told the customer they would be ordering is an acceptable business practice I should have received notification and consultation about their recommendations to increase size based on length, but they decided this was not important information to convey to me I do not feel their response to my complaint adequately explained their reasons for ordering a different size without consulting me Regards, [redacted]
Dear [redacted],On June 20th the said customer came to our shop to pick up her dress, we require our customers to sign a release form which states they are completely satisfied with the fit and appearance of their garment which the customer did sign and made no comments otherwise. We then received a...
telephone call June 29th from her stating that the dress was too big and too long so had to have alterations done. Our records state that the sample size dress was a perfect fit and that is what we ordered. She is tall and the length on the sample was good since the company did not do extra length on that style dress.If the customer thought the dress was the wrong size she could have called us before having it altered and we could have looked into this. I am in business for 25 years and being the owner and seamstress could have taken care of this issue if it was our fault if given the chance. It would be bad business on my part to refund every customer that chooses to have alterations done by another source. The dress was ordered 10 months ago there can be many reasons if the dress were too big. Without being able to re measure the customer and the dress how could we possibly know.As far as the measurements, the fit of our sample dress, the company size chart and the companies recommendation this was the proper size. We have been measuring and fitting girls for 25 years we certainly know what we are doing, and have very few complaints. If given the chance most of the time we can make things right.
