Arrowhead Pediatrics

I brought my 5 year old in to be seen for a spider bite (it was very big, red and painful) When we checked in I was told they couldn't verify my insurance. My insurance was effective 9/1/14 and we came in on 9/3/14. I brought documentation from [redacted] showing my enrollment confirmation as well as had a representative from [redacted] on the phone with [redacted] in the front office-the rep. verified I was indeed covered but that there system had not completely updated. I was then told that they would check with the "accounting supervisor" if they could make an exception. The supervisor came out and I heard her say, "I'll tell her, that's why I get paid the big bucks!" She came out and told me they have to treat me as I have no health insurance. Even with my 6 pages of enrollment confirmation and [redacted] verbally telling them the same thing, she would not do anything to help me. She was extremely rude and was completely abusing her power. I was turned away unless I wanted to pay cash for my daughter's visit (I let them know I am a single mom and that wasn't an option)-again she showed no compassion. I thankfully took my daughter to Urgent Care and had a wonderful experience with people that cared about my daughter's health. Arrowhead Pediatrics does not care about your children-they care about the money. Simple as that!
