[redacted]www.arrowleaflandscape.com           “Creators of Outdoor Living Spaces” To: Revdex.com 8020 S Coun** Rd 5 Ste 100 Fort Collins, CO 80528From: [redacted]RE: Customer Complaint # [redacted]Statement of facts: In Early December, we (Arrowleaf Landscape) were contacted by a professional colleague, [redacted] of [redacted]., to help with the difficult task of corrective pruning at a Residential proper** in Boulder, CO. We accepted the work because of our extensive years of corrective and ornamental pruning skills and believed that the residential properties could be improved with the proper pruning.  We, [redacted], [redacted] and [redacted] met at the residential proper** on December 8, 2014 at approximately 9:00am on 30th St., in front of Ms. [redacted]’s residence. We, [redacted] [redacted]) were engaged in conversation about the pruning of plant material when Ms. [redacted] came out of her home seemingly angry and agitated interrupted our conversation by asking, “Are you the South Africans? If so, it has been 5 months since you have been here”, We said, “ no, we are not from South Africa” [redacted] then proceeds to step up to the sidewalk out of the street and Ms. [redacted] asked [redacted], “are you a new Landscape Company then?” and he said “yes”, but before he could finish telling her that we were just hired to complete the pruning operations, she interrupted him, ‘’I have an issue with the drainage, it is leaving a 3-5’ sheet of ice across my sidewalk”. ** then turned to [redacted] and myself to see if it was something that could be fixed or addressed. Before we could step up to the sidewalk to look at the situation she was talking about she started yelling “don’t do that, do you dare do that, you don’t turn your back to me and insult me like that”. ** said “ Lady, we don’t have time for this and you are being very condescending and rude to us for no reason”. Ms. [redacted] then said “I’m going to call the HOA and talk to them about this” and walked into her own residence. We [redacted] [redacted]) then proceeded to walk around all of the residence to look at the corrective pruning that needed to take place. As we returned to our vehicles, Ms. [redacted] was on her phone pacing back and forth on her patio seemingly to be very agitated and said to us, “I’m talking to the HOA now”. As we stood by our vehicles she was telling someone on the phone that we looked like a bunch of “low life, white trash, hillbillies with chewing tobacco in their pockets in front of my home”. At no time did she engage in conversation with us again. We, [redacted] [redacted]) decided that it would be best if we moved down the street from Ms. [redacted] so we didn’t have any difficulties. As I was entering our company truck she was looking at me and talking on the phone and I said to Ms. [redacted], “you have no right to call us that, you are being very disrespectful to us and I don’t like that”, [redacted] then also commented to Ms. [redacted] “we are not children and you can’t treat us like that”. No more comments were said in our conversation, but Ms. [redacted] continued talking on the phone.  As [redacted] and I were in our truck, we exchanged comments about the situation. Comments in which Ms. [redacted] might have heard incorrectly or completely out of context as she was still on the phone.  We finished our conversation with [redacted] and he left the properties. We started our pruning operation 4 or 5 residences north of Ms. [redacted]’s residence on 30th St. We parked our truck with orange safe** cones on both the front and back of the vehicle as part of our working safely protocol. We pruned residences for about 30 minutes until we had enough waste of pruning debris that it was time to dump the tarp in to the back of our company truck. We tossed the tarp into the truck on the street side and upon removing the tarp, standing next to our truck, a vehicle traveling south with Ms. [redacted] as the driver, swerved in our direction either as an act of intimidation or to cause bodily injury. We were lucky as she just brushed along [redacted]’s pant and did not injure him. I, as [redacted]’s Father became very furious that someone would do such a thing to someone else.  At this point, I was going to call the Boulder Police Department and file a complaint against Ms. [redacted]. [redacted] insisted that I don’t call them and “just do what we were hired to do and be done with the situation”. I agreed and we continued working on the residences. We did not prune Ms. [redacted]’s residence, nor walk on her proper** as we did not want to provoke any further confrontations with Ms. [redacted]. As we continued pruning the remainder of the day, we noticed Ms. [redacted] spying on us from around corners, from her home and in her vehicle when she could find us or visually see us. Ms. [redacted]’s child like behavior did become comical, but we just shrugged it off and did our work. We spent 2 more days pruning the residences with in the HOA and engaged in several conversations with other HOA residents thanking and praising our work saying things like, “You guys are doing a great job”, “my home has never looked better, thank you”, “ looks like tough work, but keep it up, you guys are doing a great job”, even a young little girl said “ you make my house look really pret**”. I would like to say to Ms. [redacted] that we are extremely sorry for what took place that day. It obviously was never our intent to upset, disrespect or dismiss anyone and make any accusations or gestures that would make someone feel uncomfortable. I cannot dismiss the fact that when someone uses a vehicle to willfully or maliciously try to harm someone, it is appalling and “criminal like” in behavior and possibly possesses a danger to themselves, the neighborhood and socie** in general. We feel that Ms. [redacted] has taken this situation completely out of context and has taken a brief 30 second conversation and made us out to look like horrible people, which is simply not true.  We have been in the landscape business for 23 years and have never had a situation quite like this. So we take this situation very seriously. We pride ourselves on quali**, consistency and a commitment to customer service and are one of Boulder County’s elite Landscape Contractors and feel like we have done so. We have received dozens of letter of recommendations, commendations and testimonials from our years of service to our customers and the community.  As part of our mission statement and sustainability to our community, we give back monetarily and hundreds of volunteer hours each year at several local charities such as Habitat for Humani**, The [redacted], [redacted], [redacted] Athletics and    [redacted] football. If someone would like to speak to us personally about this situation, we would be happy to do that and thank you for time.Respectfully submitted,[redacted]Arrowleaf Landscape Inc.
