orders are not held over days. This sign is posted in two locations in our office when you are at the sales counter. This job was completed on 12/27/I have attached photos of these signs to this email plus a copy of the invoiceEven if our production time was to months, the customer would have been required to pick up his book by the end of May. 3) The customer showed up at our office for the first time on October 4th, to pick up his orderWe were unable to locate his order. We told him that his order was discarded because we do not hold orders over days. 4) The original paid invoice states “pick up” in the upper right hand cornerWhenever we have a thesis customer ask for a book to be sent to the University, we charge them for shipping and handling on the original invoiceThe customer’s invoice does not have any freight charges listed on the invoiceWhy would the customer come in looking for his book if we shipped it? A simple phone call to our office would have accomplished the same task. 5) At the request of the customer, our office manager gave the customer my email so I could address his concernsThis was on October the 4thHe didn’t send me that email until 10/31. 6) I contacted the customer’s advisor to try and help the customerI certainly could have just responded to the customer that he failed to pick of his order in the allotted time and that would be the end of itI wanted to make sure that the advisor didn’t have any other information and could try and explain better the situation to the customer. 7) We told the customer that we would be more than happy to print (which we didn’t do originally, the customer provided the text printed, so this was an additional cost to us) and bind his book for half priceHe didn’t take us up that offer.
