Response:

My name is [redacted], I am the [redacted] of Art of Living Housing Corp. In March, 2013, [redacted] came to me after Church and told me she was having trouble finding a contractor to repair the damage done to her house from the Sandy Storm. She asked me for a contract to send to her mortgage com pany for approval. So I gave her a contract for Ten Thousand Five Hundred (10,500.00 ), contract is enclosed. The contract stated the type of work to be performed.

I received the first payment from her on Monday, May *, 2013. [redacted] called and said she wanted a different color siding which had to be ordered. Material was dropped off to her house on Friday, May **, 2013. Due to heavy rain the whole weekend, work started on Monday, May **, 2013. We removed the damaged siding. [redacted] came to me and asked if we would change the siding on the whole house, so that it would match. Although, this was not part of the contract, I agreed to include this work at no extra charge. After the siding work was finished, [redacted] said that there was some areas (not part of contract) that she was not pleased with, so I sent over my worker, [redacted]) to correct or replace whatever her concerns were. On Thursday, May **, 2013, [redacted] then made a second payment to me.

There was some roof damage from the Sandy Storm. I paid someone to repair the holes on the roof After a week of rain, [redacted] said the roof was leaking. So on Saturday, June *, 2013 I sent my worker [redacted] and two other workers to [redacted]' house to correct the problem and do whatever it would take to stop the leaks in the roof That same day, [redacted] called me up and said that I had robbed her and that the roof had holes in it. I told her that's the reason my people are there, to take off the roof so that they could fix whatever might be wrong it, and put on a new roof She also stated that she did not want me to set foot on her property again. On Monday June **, 2013, [redacted] agreed to meet with me and the [redacted] of our Church to resolve the matter, At which time [redacted] complained and would not listen and when I asked what is it that she wanted, she said I don't want you to set foot on my property again. That's when I left her premises. Everything on the contract that [redacted] stated that was not done, was done with the exception of work that could not be done until the roof repairs were done.

[redacted] paid me a total of five Thousand dollars(5000.00) out of the Ten Thousand Five Hundred Dol lars (10,5000) Contract. The check from her mortgage/insurance company was made payable to the con tractor, Art of Living Housing Corp and [redacted] and deposited in [redacted] account, was for the sole reason of repairing the damage done by the storm. I later found out that the work is still being done by the same workers ([redacted] and two others) that I hired and paid to do the work for me, using my ladders and tools. The question is how can [redacted] take my workers to finish the job under my contract with the check made out to Art of Living Housing Corp and ask for money back. The Fifty Five Hundred that is left as a balance on the contract is more than enough to finish the job, with the balance that is due

to Art of Living Housing Corp at completion of said job. If you have any other questions please call me at the above phone number. Thank You.
