Art of Skin Rx Reviews (%countItem)

I purchased a Collagen Induction facial from Art of Skin Rx (Christine ***) on ***. Prior to my appointment, she changed my service and appointment from the 75 minute, $*** collagen induction facial to a 60 minute $*** microdermabrasion. This took place before I even set foot in the door for her to evaluate my skin. I understand I purchased the initial service at a discounted price, but I did not receive what I paid for, nor did I receive what the contracted service was. Even upon my arrival, she informed me that she didn't have time for the service I'd come expecting and paid for. After evaluating my skin, she changed the service again to a $*** dermaplane facial. I originally paid $*** through *** for the collagen induction facial, which is a % discount from the original price of the service. What I received was the dermaplane facial for $***, which is only a % discount. There was never a mention of making up the difference in any way, shape, or form.

Upon reviewing her poorly on the *** app, Christine was *** and inaccurate in her response to me. Not only did she have information incorrect, she was very *** and *** in her response. She insulted me, provided incorrect information regarding the actual appointment interaction, and then shared personal and confidential health service provider-client information on a public website. She is a licensed professional and the waiver I signed was for her to potentially use my before and after pictures on her website...not for her to insult me and share a very personal experience publicly. All because I spoke the truth about her not providing the service I had paid her for in addition to expressing my dislike for her constant product sales pitch. *** I definitely pushed a button because she became insulting and passive-aggressive in her response.

Desired Outcome

Refund Refund the $*** I paid for the service I did not receive. In addition, take down your horrifying response to my *** review. I, in turn, will take down my *** review.

Art of Skin Rx Response • Apr 09, 2020

I went above and beyond for the referred complainer, Julie ***. My before and after document incredible results from one treatment, the client feel asleep in my treatment room which made me so happy as she had many examples of overwhelming misfortunes she had shared in her personal life prior to falling asleep.

It pained me when she got so upset outside of the treatment when I showed her the before and afters, as usually it makes people so happy. This was in our Public lobby that she commented as to why it made her so upset. It was something personal to her that she informed me of, which has nothing to do with myself, business or treatment.

As far as a refund, there is none to give as she bought a ***. Julie also filed a complaint that way, and as far as I knew settled her refund with them however I do not have time or resources to track such things.

As I stated before, I am a long standing member of many Charity organizations, have donated time and services to skin cancer patients, under-funded elementary schools and so much more. If I, in any way felt I had made some mistake or anything, I would go above and beyond to make things right as that is a code of ethics deeply instilled *** and only wanting to help people after everything I've seen and been through.

Best Regards

Customer Response • Apr 09, 2020

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I did file a complaint with ***, but no amount of money for what I paid directly to the business was refunded. *** offered me a $*** credit for a future purchase, which is in no way a refund of my previously requested amount. This credit has nothing to do with the business I filed the complaint with, and was solely a business decision made on the behalf of *** since one of their business contacts had ***. They obviously felt I was done an injustice by offering the credit.

I am not complaining about the service I received, as with any facial service rendered, the after is meant to be better than the before...that's the reason an individual pays for a facial service...to improve your skin health and appearance. I'm not disputing that. What my complaint entails is that I did not receive the service I paid for. I paid for a service that was significantly more expensive than the one I received, including the discount offered through ***. That difference is reflected in the amount of money I'm requesting in my refund from the business. What I did receive in addition to the lower level facial service was a constant sales pitch about her products and how amazing she is at what she does. The reason I finally fell asleep was because she finally shut up so I could relax. I do not accept *** credit as settling this claim against the business. She is the one who cut the corners and provided a service less than what I paid for. She should be the one to make amends. My initial complaint has nothing to do with her so-called charitable contributions. As you can see, she does anything she can to try and brag about herself...try spending an hour having to listen to that.
