Review: Artek photography was hired to photograph our wedding July 10th 2011. Our contract price was $1269.00 We ended up paying a total of $1369.00 because we decided to use him for an extra hour (his rate was $100/additional hour). The $1369.00 was paid in full 2 weeks BEFORE our wedding day as per his request. He showed up that day and took photos. Our contract states a CD containing all images would be sent within 10 days of the event, wedding albums 12-14 weeks, and enlargements 3-4 weeks. He didn't return any phone calls or emails until August 15th 2011. In this email he stated that he wasn't sure why I didn't receive his previous email but our online gallery had been set up for over a month. We finally saw our pictures we were dissatisfied with the quality and the fact that he did not take the specific photos he was instructed to take. We provided him with a list of posed shots we wanted as per his request. I got in touch with him via telephone the next day and I asked if he would send the disk of the photos since he hadn't sent them yet. After that conversation he never spoke to us again. I made many phone calls to both numbers he gave us, left voicemails but only sometimes because most of the time his mailbox was full, and sent emails to both email addresses he provided. The only time he responded to us after our wedding was August 15th 2011 when he told us the online album was set up and August 16th when I called to get the disk sent. It is 2 years later and I still cant get in contact with him. He has our $1360.00 and we have not one wedding picture. We paid for a product that was never received. All the frustration and hurt we feel from this situation deserves a refund and the disk of pictures. Even though we were not completely satisfied with the pictures, at least we would have something to look back and remember our wedding day. The biggest thing we remember about our wedding day is how this guy ripped us off.Desired Settlement: At this point we would like the disk of our wedding photos AND a refund.
