Artesia Salon and Day Spa

Review: I have a $150 Gift Certificate to this salon. I used to get my hair done here and did about 4 months ago and was not aware of there closing as nobody warned me while I was there. They rented a section of Hilton Gaslamp property. The managers at Hilton would not give me the owners name or contact and said that one day they just up and closed without warning. There website is down and salon number has been disconnected. Now I am left with a gift card I am unable to use and wanted to get a refund.Desired Settlement: To get a refund for the $150.00 gift card for this salon.

Review: This spa misrepresented themselves as part of the [redacted] Hotel.

Originally my husband and I used their services and were talked into buying two more gift return certificates. Today I called the spa and was transferred straight to the hotel. [redacted] at the [redacted] told me that Artesia Day Spa sold people many gift certificates and then packed up one day and vanished leaving no forwarding information to the [redacted] Hotel management. Have I known this was a scam I would have never spent nearly $200 on worthless gift certificates. How embarrassing I gave these to my mother for mother's day and now I have to upset her that it is worthless. There are many other customers who were scammed this way. Even the hotel said his was very bad business practice for Artesia. The name of the owner of the spa is [redacted]. This person needs to reimburse all the customers who are contacting the [redacted] now to try to redeem their very expensive certificates. We all had a contract that we pay Artesia money for services that we can not receive now. This contract was breached by Artesia and we need to be reimbursed. Contact information should also be left with the manager of the [redacted] Hotel. The [redacted] management also asked me if I track them down to provide further information to them so they can help other customers. I need to be reimbursed for the value of those certificates, as well as many other customers. You can check telp to see other people complain about this issue.
